1977 Mk4 Cortina 2 door for sale. These 2 door cars a getting rare now. Needs basic restoration. Left hand drive car from France. Very very sound but does have rust on passenger side rear arch. Bootlid is showing rust on lower edge but a replacement bootlid is with the car. Few dents here and there. Engine not running as waterpump removed. Ive never seen it running. Car is complete. NOVA paperwork done so easy to register in UK once its got an MOT. Interior all there but well worn. The car is a 1300GL model. Would make a fantastic resto mod or sleeper. There are some spares that go with car. Will need a screen as cracked Car located Brentwood Essex area

Cortina mk2 1600E 1969 s2 Left hand drive Has the nice cloth seat inserts and rear seatbelts being an export model White with black interior ( Never had a vynal roof) The car has never been painted totally original Needs restoration straight forward project Will not take much effort to get it running Not been used / dry stored over 20 years I imported it from Sweden Ive sold this twice on ebay and buyers never made contact Third time I sold the women said her husband would not let her have it ???? Its a very good honest car that is better than most Yes it needs welding and painting but panels will repair easy Nice top plates etc offers over £4000 Genuine persons only please as l’ve never had a car attract so many time wasters ? Are there any ways of cross referencing a Mk1 Cortina build tag with the VIN Are there any records that relate the build tag body number to the VIN Do Ford Motor company hold records of the car build tag numbers and what chassis number that shell was allocated to ??? Does anyone have any contact details for Ford Heritage dept as I am trying to find info on a Mk1 Cortina Cheers Rob

You can cut / grind up a box from a colunm change car I've done it a couple of times. Take your time and you cant tell its been cut I picked one up last year at Battlesbridge for £15-00 (Beat you to it Keith) Rob
