  9. Trying to remember how i did mine... i used the 2000e gearbox with housing and clutch pipe from the corsair so i could keep the hydraulic clutch. and brought just a 3 piece clutch... i am sure it was a 21 spline but cant remember the size does 9" sound right??? the last time i used the capri box, worst thing i did they dont fit to well in the tunnel usless you have an autobox tunnel.

  21. For some reason I have been looking into BSC and found this site that has archived the site back to the start in 2000... Archive website click on the links and take a look at the site over the years also didnt realise that its Buysellcortina 10th year... Just looked through the site and found out the site started on May 1st 2000 which i didnt know....
  22. Nick your not wrong it is a relay for the spots, but gets energised from the stalk when you use the main beam. On the relay black is -ve , thick brown +ve, blue/white from stalk (main beam) and blue/yellow both going to each spot light. so definately nothing to do with the starter.
  23. if you only have 1 terminal then you use only the white/red as this to fire's your solenoid/starter motor, i think the white/yellow is there so the coil gets 12V when cranking over. so really not needed and not always there. again its been a while since i have done wiring on a mk2 .. good luck forgot to say on very late 1600E's both blue/yellow wires are fused...
  24. Here is a pic.. hope it help you out.... (only of the relay) on the coil (this is from memory) white/yellow (+ or sw) and green or blue (- or cb) from the dizzy on the solenoid top white/red and lower white/yellow with big brown and batt +ve (together) and the other side to starter motor.
  25. This what they look like from new.... not sure it helps ya...
