*** CAR NOW SOLD ****

Unfinshed project based in Essex. This car started life as a 1966 2 door 1500 Super. But now runs a 1600 crossflow engine, 4 speed box with GT gear selector, GT dash. Lowered and sits on Mexico steel wheels. The car also has a private number plate which comes with the car. The car runs OK but needs a bit of tinkering when cold. Bodywork and panels are in pretty good condition for it's age. Some areas ie top mounts, rear quarter bottoms need repanelling (Not too expensive from Expressed Panels). Also some areas including footwell need plateing but nothing major. Car has had replacement n/s door and also comes with a good replacement o/s front wing (not fitted ). Original colour is Goodwood Green but the previous owner has poorly resprayed the car. With a bit of TLC this would make a good GT or Lotus replicia which was my original intentions when I bought it a year ago but personal circumstances have arose and the car reluctantly is now for sale. I agree with keith and nigel.....colins done a first class job on these im certainly going to buy one off him...

I bought a new one of these about 12 years ago from kt,s of dartford less than £100 i think,gave it away when i sold the car along with a bent original one.. If only i had a crystal ball then id be laughing now.

Personally i would have put the starting bid at £1400...theres alot worse selling for much more on e,bay...sell the lotus rims seperate for max money mate...good luck with the auction..

There was never a ford colour called salmon pink,the colour you are talking about is defentally signal red 80...ive got afew friends with mk2 rs2000s in this colour..another quite later ford retro colour i believe,certainly like most red cars they dont like the sun,so fade slightly "although signal red 80" always looked slightly pink when leaving the factory.... kev
