hi all im thinking of selling my cortina mk2 1600gt replica the car was at cortina s at the ace last yr its red with gold stripe but thats gone now along with bonnet pins the car is now running a full race harris 1760 xflow on twin 40 webbers 2 1/4 coil overs had alot of resto work over last winter powder coated suspention painted engine bay fully polybushed new track contol arms four new track rod ends loads of money spent since iv owned it all new brake pipes and flexie s the car was owned by brian tull of the mk2 owners club also the car was modeled by vangaurd iv got a folder of history dont know how to upload pics at the mo but theres pics on here from last cortina s at the ace if anybody is interested plse ring me on 07964 732739 im asking £8000 ono or i mite take px plus cash my way cheers

hi has anybody got a throttle linkage with bar for a xflow to fit 32\36 twinchoke webber as iv got major leak on my 40 s so got to take them off but car still needs to be in use if anyone can help could u tex or ring me on 07964 732739 cheers guys cash waiting

thanks for everyone s advise its not got a one way valve fitted nor did my last survo but i think it had a one way valve on the elbow on the survo the pipe is just normal hose witch came with the kit iv diconnected the survo and my brakes are fine ill get some new pipe and try replaceing it see if that works and will try and get a one way valve

hi all iv recently fitted a new brake survo and iv notice the pipe pulsates cus its a universal iten could it be that its the wrong one and needs to much vacume to operate brakes as im running 40 s and iv been told it only sucks off on cylinder be greatfull for any advice to sort this problem out

hi all iv fitted a brand new remote survo on my mk2 cortina when i brake the brakes feel soft then the peddle come s up and feels sharp when i remove the survo pipe it sucks but seems to chuff has anybody come across this problem all brakes are new calapers flexie hoses copper brake pipe the only thing iv fitted that wasnt there before is a catch tank the pipe from breather box on side of xflow goes to catch but iv put in a t peice that goes to my rocker box then goes to catch tank other side of catch tank has a breather on it im running 40 webbers bit confused wot cud be causeing it any help would be great cheers jason

hi all iv just fitted a new remote brake survo on my mk2 cortina gt but during the resto iv lost the paperwork how the pipes go to survo and from survo can anybody help me with some pics also im after the correct setting for tracking up cheers

was going to ask the same question this mot tester sound like a jobs worth my mk2 goes through its mot with not even an advisory and the mrs has a mk1 escort and that went through even had a very small hole in the outer sill didnt fail as has full chassie get a second opinion do the stuff u know that need s doing and run it to another mot place theres alot of genuine mot testers out there who love old fords my mot tester is great always fair i moted my m8s mk2 crayford failed on excessive play in steering box and no fog light lol but the tester couldnt of been no older than 20 didnt have a clue took it somewhere else it passed less than half inch play in the steering box and to old for fog light good luck with the repairs hope you mot it again

hi all im currently putting my mk2 cortina back together and want to fit a single breather tank or a oil catch tank as im running 40 webbers iv had to in the past run the breather pipe down the back of the engine as iv not got a fitment for it on the inlet manifold but want to put this to a catch tank also my rocker cover has had a elbow pipe fitted so do i attach that to the oil catch tank aswell as want to make the engine bay look nice can anyone suggest a place where i can get one that fits only the mk2 cheers jason

iv got both standard dash top series one and my old dash top with holes for gauges as i got one off ebay thats new old stock my old one has small crackbut not bad
