  1. Hi Do you have the bumper over riders.
  2. Believe me the engine bay is the only good bit of the floor i can provide photos if you want.
  3. Not got much done lately been busy getting the Mondeo ready for MOT. Passed on Tuesday Night thank god. Then spent a couple of nights looking at a couple of little things on mums car. Managed to get the frame out of the sierra today. Managed to get the frame installed into the cortina. Next job will be check the alignment is perfect then remove ARB Mounts from the Sierra Shell and Install them into the Cortina Shell. there will probably be nothing much happening over the next couple of weeks as mums campervan needs a couple of jobs doing on it.
  4. Did some calculations tonight and have come up with the following numbers. Front 205/50/15 through a 2.8 4x4 3.62 ratio diff. Rear 205/55/15 through a Cortina / Capri 3.75 diff. I reckon the centre diff will take up the difference. Further calculations required to confirm before any purchase.
  5. Many thanks, It took Me a long time to build up the courage to make a start on the project. Still not sure what to do with the back end as I cant get a 3.64 diff gear set for an atlas axle(to match the Cossie front diff), and I dont want to use the sierra rear end (too much modifing of the chassis involved).
  6. Got a bit done today even if the angle grinder died on me. Cant grumble it cost £16 in argos 3 years ago. I bough 2 and dropped and smashed one before even using it. So an angle grinder heart transplant is first priority in the morning. I added further steel box section to the frame to pick up the ARB Mounting points I am not sure if i will cut the part out of the chassis leg or just copy it in new steel. The problem is that the chassis leg is shaped where the bush fits in so it might be a bit of a pita to copy but the sierra chassis leg is a wee bit rough in the area of the mounts. Not sure yet what i will do. Anyway some photo's of what I got done today.
  7. Been busy today made a frame to remove the strut tops from the sierra and hold them in the correct position while i am installing them into the Cortina. The strut tops and most of the inner wings after removal from the Sierra. The resulting holes left in the sierra after removal of strut tops. My next mission is to carry out some more fabrication to the frame to pick up the ARB Mount Positions. Hopefully one night through the week as tomorrow is reserved for domestic projects
  8. I need to know the length of the top links center to center. The distance the top links are apart. And the distance from the top of the axle to the center of the top link bolt hole. Any help would be much appreciated.
  9. Hi I am looking for a kind soul who has a MK5 South African Axle who would be willing to take a couple of measurements for me. Anybody help ?.
  10. Been busy the last couple of nights. Due to the fact that domestic projects are waiting for some materials I managed to get out of the house for a few hours each night. I had installed the chassis legs to accept the sierra crossmember but they were in the wrong place so the Chassis legs taken out and the frame I made for installing them altered. The chassis legs have been reinstalled in the correct position. Cossie 4x4 crossmember installed and drivers side TCA and upright fitted to check correct height of crossmember. I am happy with ride height so next move is to use the frame to lift the strut tops and arb mounts out of the Sierra. Hopefully get that done next week. Anyway a couple of pics showing the crossmember and upright in the correct position. Ignore the rope that's to hold the TCA and upright in the right position.
  11. Can You remember how well did the MT75 fit in the Cortina Tunnel. Was it a squeeze or was there plenty of room.
  12. Stunning the only word for it.
  13. If you keep me in mind thats all i can ask, much appreciated.
