Ah yes, I know what you mean but I believe mine has just got a single outlet and the T piece was further down the pipe to T off. I just didnt want to pipe it up wrong if there was a certain way but I suppose that confirms what I need to know, I think the T piece in the manifold would be easier to work with but I dont think any of my spare manifolds have got them. Im after a picture of how it all goes from the servo to the engine breather and inlet manifold. Can anyone help me out, Ive searched the internet and cant find anything!!

Thanks Gareth/Craig. I'll have another look about but I'm pretty sure someone has just wired it into a new switch many moons ago without replacing the relay, hence why the element in the rear screen never worked as most of its missing, probably burnt out!!

Jayne, can you remember what the wire colours were or the positions you used as they're numbered on the back ignition, I've tried working it out by wiring diagrams and with a multimeter. I worked it out so far that a thick red wire (30) is (+) power in to ign. Position 'II' I think is a thick black wire (15) (+) out. Any help on this matter will be appreciated. Thanks, Matt

I was wondering earlier as I was searching through Haynes manuals for other wiring, do or did early mk3's like mine ('72) have a relay for the rear screen as it says it should be situated on the bonnet release cable bracket under the dash. Mine has some botched wiring around the switch and 'ON' light but there's no relay, just a straight wire from the switch to the screen Can anybody enlighten me what is correct?? Obviously it wouldn't take a lot to add a relay in but I'm just being curious. Thanks, Matt

When I fitted the type 9 to my crossflow (a few differences, I know but . . .) , the original sandwich plate fitted but wouldn't allow the starter motor to bolt up properly, I just measured the difference in diameters of the motor and plate and marked the excess on the plate to cut off and went at it with a fine blade in a jigsaw, smoothed it all off, hey presto!! fitted a treat 😎

Does anyone have or know where I can get hold of a 1.6 koln rear diff plate gasket or are they unavailable and it's a case of buying a sheet of gasket paper and create my own?? Thanks, Matt

Does anyone know if the Triple QX Blue antifreeze from euro car parts is up to the job?? I'm currently having my rad re-cored as it had been run with red antifreeze and the tops of every other fin was blocked causing a bit of flow issue. Thanks, Matt
