Yes 037 has lug for bottom clamp .

You 'r right Derskine 037 is bolt on but I don't think there is an opposite layout of round terminals.on mk2 there's good safe clearance either way , don't know about mk1.

037 is same battery with terminals other way round.

Rotates at engine R.P.M.in fourth gear and for other gears calculate according to gear ratio.

Lovely looking car , best of luck . Brakes sound like you may have part of hydraulic system seized ,possibly front callipers. Is it braking in straight line?

The click must be coming from starter or solenoid which suggests that ign is working correctly. Cross solenoid battery / starter leads to check if starter working and if it is check solenoid function . If its clicking but not completing starter circuit it would seem like faulty solenoid.

The ballast ign is to improve starting when battery voltage is lowered , 9 volt coil will get full battery volts when starter turning and even if not max volts going to it will still generate good HT spark but for continuous use it must revert to the voltage coil is designed for hence resistor . With accuspark the lower voltage coil does the same job once its still fed through resistor.

It should be curved in a C from left to right and there is an offset towards rear at both ends ,top where adjuster is and bigger offset at bottom where small guide pulley goes.

Hi I`m looking for a dual circuit master cyl.as fitted to R.H.D. export 1600e it`s .85 inch bore and mounting flange is left /right as opposed to top /bottom if you get my drift.I know they are`nt that popular in U.K. but someone may have one .Thanks

Just for old time sake ,looks like a dynamo but performs like an alternator.

Thanks MLI 'they look very original should be able to save cost of pulley and modify old reg .If charge on idle is as good as an alternator they would be a big improvement on old C40L.
