when i lived in nz i had an l spec estate which was a 2.o l i beleive we had to get to gl spec before a 2 litre was offered i could be wrong also it had an lpg conversion but im sure it was retro fitted trying to post some pics

sadly its time to pass on my cortina 1981 2.0 gl auto in red was my grandfarthers who bought it in about 1984 49000 miles interior is very good bodywork needs attention but no major holes just the usuall cortina rust spots original car apart from 1 inch lower springs and gas shocks will be sold with an mot which it keeps passing so obviously nothing major wrong with it could do with a tune up but sounds ok towbar and original dealer plates tax disc holder etc will be up for sale after my mates memorial cricket match (just something we have to do) i'm going to put it up for £2000 is this realistic, dont worry you wont offend me by your comments, what i like about this site is that you will tell me straight regards, pablo

thanks lobby and yes spot on they're both 350 morinis one is a strada and the black one is my sport which is a track bike i also have a 70s one which i'm restoring so you can see i'm a biker (current count at 7) which is why i was going to out the cortina but i just cant, every time i drive it it just makes me and anyone in it smile (apart from the time i had it sideways at bungay roundabout, swmbo wasn't impressed)and it was my late grandfathers so a lot of history there i read the forum daily and its a great site so the cortina is staying put for now, may even pop along to monmouth for a few beers may need to out some bikes but as she says "you cant ride 7 at once"

well its been a long time since i did anything about the cortina was at a low ebb last year and was seriously thinking about getting shot of it i re read my post and forgot to say thank you to the kind words of encouragement from everyone who replied so boyed by the good weather and the good lady its out of the garage and hopefully back on the road soon the damage to the front wasn't so bad (see earlier post) so i bent it all back sort of, its not perfect but it will do. every dent tells a story so a check over all the obvious stuff for the mot and all looks ok quick pic of the fleet so a message from rosie to all at bsc and i know its rusty and dusty but its mine

well this is my daily it works hard for a living but can still be a camper (of sorts) come the weekend from the highlands of scotland to the algarve its never let me down in 6 years

set of 4 mk 5 saloon doors in blue from a gl no rot includes glass and hinges no door cards getting rid of the car and spares so will post other parts when i sort them out collection from nr1 norwich all i ask is a donation to bsc to help this fantastic site pab will post pics when photo,up decides to work
