  1. Don't know if you've had any luck but I've got one that needs some attention. I can get you detailed pictures next weekend if required.

  3. I've decided that this isn't the route that I want to go down so I'm making the reluctant decision to sell this car on. It was previously advertised along with all of the parts that I had bought for it. This time I am only selling the rolling shell and the original or associated parts that came with it. I have the V5C in my name, registered at my address. I've known this car and for approximately 20 years it has been stored in a dry garage but, unfortunately, never finished. So, what is for sale: Rolling shell as shown in the pictures. Capri front struts with M16 calipers and discs. Capri single leaf rear springs. 3 dial dash. Car still has original steering box and crossmember. All the glass is present - 2 front screens, non-heated rear screen, side glass, opening quarter lights, window mechanisms etc. Radio aperture blanking plate. Chrome window trims. Wiring looms, lights and fittings as shown, bumpers, grilles, seats (front and rear). Propshaft. Original pedal box is missing. Throttle pedal is present. Brand new Consul bonnet badge from Owners Club. If any of the uprated or performance parts are wanted by the buyer, that can be discussed at the point of sale. The same applies to the alloy wheels in the pictures - the car will probably be on random steels when sold.
  4. Hi Ian, The tank seems to be good but I obviously can't 100% guarantee it - I think they go for around £50 so about that should be fine. The single leaf springs are still on my mk1 so I'm going to say yes, they will fit a mk1 😋 WhatsApp or mobile 07866378011. I'm in Spain at the moment.
  5. I have a guy wanting them and coming to see them when I get back. I've told him 300 for the wheels, centre caps and wheel nuts. Apologies for the late reply
  6. Thanks. Good to have a realistic assessment. Think it may be going as part of a package so will factor this in.
  7. I have been reliably informed that I have a 3 dial GT dash. I am not planning on using it and have posted it for sale along with a lot of other parts. The problem now is that I have to put a value on it and I don't know where to start. I've looked for previous sales on eBay etc but can't seem to get anything definitive. I'm not trying to be greedy but, by the same token, I don't want to give it away too cheaply when I'm spending an absolute fortune building the car. Any help or guidance would be really appreciated. I've attached a picture for info. Thanks
  8. Reply to an enquiry on OSF: I only put a couple of prices up because I haven't really had a chance to value the stuff. As it stands I have a few weeks until I'm home and I can look into it - I expect the legs, diff and wheels (which ones?) have a pretty standard rate but the dash is something a bit special. I'm not looking to retire off the proceeds but, by the same token, this build is costing me a fortune and I need to claw something back.
  9. I will be starting a clear out of surplus parts when I get home at the start of March. I have a couple of boxes full of pre-aeroflow related bits and some generic parts as well. A few of the things I will be clearing out include the following, I will add pictures as and when I find them and can compress them enough to upload 2x Dellorto DHLA 40's on crossflow manifold 2x 1600 crossflow engines 1x 2000E 3 rail gearbox 2x standard gearboxes 1x 3 dial dash Pair of Capri front struts with M16 calipers and discs Steering column, box and crossmember - still in car Brake and Clutch master cylinders Single leaf rear springs - Capri 2.8 I think 4x 7" steel wheels with 175/50R13 tyres and chrome centre caps 4x 7' minilight style alloys with 175/50R13 Tyres 4x Revolution 4 spoke alloys, 6" I think - need to check - powdercoated chrome/silver 3.54 LSD Fuel tank
  10. Thanks. Just had a very promising sounding discussion with a gentleman from the other end of the country, strangely enough ! Should circumstances prevail a sale should hopefully come from it and everyone will be happy.
  11. Going to advertise this elsewhere when I return from work at the end of the month. Willing to let it go for any decent offer over 2000. I really don't have time to be able to do the car justice. It is still a good "get in and drive" option for the rest of the year - nothing needs doing.
  12. After a period of consideration I have decided that I am going to go ahad with the sale. The car has had the lower driving lights removed but is otherwise as before. I will put another advertisment in Classic Cars For Sale and possibly other places as well but just wanted to confirm this advert as live. The reason behing it is my new job, I really don't have time now to look after 2 older cars and the amount of time and effore that has gone into the Fiesta keeps it at the top of the priority list. Hopefully someone is looking for a good Crusader Estate !
  13. Thanks for the replies. I have been home a few days and started doing bits and bobs to the car. Probably a bit of a knee jerk reaction posting it for sale so quickly but will leave it up for a while. Started doing some of the (many many) odd jobs the car needs and can see huge potential for a really useable car. http://www.buysellcortina.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/48233-crusader-estate-in-scotland/ Fancy fitting a 24V Cosworth and manual box and lowering slightly, just to get the look and a lazier driving style that the car needs. If I want manic then yes, that is a Mk1 Fiesta in the background. I will post up a bit more about that later !
  14. Came back from my first month working away and decided to advertise the car for sale. Then decided to do a wee bit of work on it anyway, we all know these things need constatnt attention Subtle changes and tidying up and the car has bitten me again - haven't taken the ad down though - yet !! Think I want to put a 5 speed and 24V Cosworth in it, lower it slightly and use it as a weekend toy !
