1.6 mk5 saloon standard had 3.89:1 1.6 mk5 saloon option and estate had 4.11:1 2.0 all variants3.75:1 2.3 had 3.44:1 ive been offered a mk4/5 axle with 3.77:1 where the hell did this ratio come from? would it be any good for my 1,6 mk5 with a type 9?

hey how you all doing my name is jay came across this site wile looking for parts as i remembered it was in the back of retro ford been looking at some topics and this seams a realy kool site. interesting views. one of my toys is a 82 crusader, type 9 lowered 2" 7x13 minilights with yokos home made exhaust built from a rs 2000 ashley system with 4 branch fully polly bushed. the thing is im fitting a st170 motor shortly got all the parts to sort the braking on the front capri 2.8 discs and spacer plates but the back end is another matter,ive been looking for a axle cause ive killed the standard crusader tooth pick lookin for a english or a atlas i will throw up a few pics of rusty when i get used to how it all works on here
