  1. Anyone know if this Rally Design stick for Mk1/2 Escort fits the Mk2 Series 2 gearbox? Rally Design Escort mk1/2 quickshift gear stick
  2. Put mine (1970 Mk2) on SORN online for a week and a bit, then re-taxed it today at a PO, presenting log book, insurance cert and a completed V112. Not sure the guy was very knowledgeable as he asked how I wanted to pay for it...

    MK2 washer jet

I need a single washer jet for a MK2 (series 2). Please either respond here or message me, thanks Mark
  4. hi does anyone know a reference number for the Mk2 1600GT air filter - could be manufactured by AC, Fram, Motorcraft cheers
  5. Great little web site you have there Mark - well done!
  6. I believe all 1600Es and Lotuses had these as standard as one of the additional strengthening modifications on their shells. Not sure if GTs did or didn't. My E has one on one side but the other has gone presumably after some cheap resto in the dim and distant.
  7. I have one of these http://www.slotcity.co.uk/newsdesk_info.php/resin-mmk-cortina-kit-n-365?newsdeskPath=913 It can be made into a scalextric type car with appropriate running gear. They were a limited run so might be tricky to find one.

    1600e horn

Could well have been - there were definitely things that were standard on non-GB motors that didnt appear as standard on GB cars e.g. servo. Twin horns could be the same.

    1600e horn

Not sure if series 2 cars had twin tone horns - pretty sure that although they were original standard item on series 1 cars, they were deleted for series 2 (presumably saving all of 8 shillings per car!) - an optional extra perhaps?
  10. I think - but stand to be corrected - that you could fit a series 1 1600E set of springs, but the series 2 ones are different, having larger rear spring shackle bushes. Not sure if series 1 cars had spring insulaters fitted - they are definitely on my series 2. Added benefit of series 1 springs is they are lowered as per lotus items. Dont know if yours are the same as Mk 1 springs.

Thats a fantastic job Nick - well done. I can see you have twin 40s(?) on there - are there other engine mods? Is it running a standard exhaust manifold/system?
  12. I've subsequently been in touch with the manufacturers of these - PowerTrack. They have confirmed that they have been used successfully on the MK2. And the even better news is that they are now manufacturing brand new MK2 7/8" items - should be available in about a months time.
  13. I've seen advertised the Zephyr/Zodiac MK4 clutch slave cylinder - the description suggests it will fit the MK2 cortina - only difference = bore size (1" vs. 7/8") - anyone tried this? Price difference is considerable...
  14. Thanks for all the help here guys - yes its a single rail box so I am hoping its one of the issues listed by Mr Sheffield...investigation will take place after summer hols, cheers, Mark
