Hi i’m trying to find out the age of my mk5 crusader tried using the vin decoder on this site but the drop down letters don’t correspond with the letters that are on my I'm wondering if it’s because my car’s a genk built cortina anyone able to shed some light on this cheers Alan

Hi there Does anyone know if the weber 32/36 for a 2 litre car can fit a 1.6 engine bought a brand new carb for my 1.6 carousel estate but it runs very rough, the idle's all over the place, pressing the accelerator cuts it out and it's using far too much fuel, took it to a guy who's got a mk2 escort mexico and he thinks it's a 2 litre carb that's been fitted, does anyone know if it can be modified to run with a 1.6 engine cheers Alan

Hi Guys looking for a bit of technical advice Fitted a k&n filter to my carousel estate, didn't bother sealing up the pipe that runs fron the vv carb to the airbox, this meant i couldn't get the car to idle, then i refitted the old airbox with the pipe from the carb to the airbox back in place, only issue is it still wont idle, any ideas on how i can get this sorted, thanks
