  1. Hi I have a 4 door Mk5 Cortina Crusader that is currently being restored and I require a mid section intermediate front panel to allow me to complete my front end rebuild. If any BSC members have this panel, which is surplus to their requirements and would be willing to sell this particular panel please contact me. Thanks Adey
  2. As I indicated I am inviting sensible offers, however, I would like to achieve a price of around £2300 for my car. Thanks
  3. For sale is my Mk5 Ford Cortina Crusader. I purchased this car in December 2014 from a retired gent in Wigan. It hadn't been driven or MOT'd in 5 years so my first task was getting it back on the road, which I achieved in February after spending a fairly large sum of money on various repairs. Now MOT'd until Feb 2016 this car drives great and is in good condition inside and is in a fair condition externally bearing in mind it's age. When I first started driving the car there were some minor water ingress problems, which were addressed by resealing the rear and front windscreens. Recently I removed the carpet and all seats to thoroughly clean them and I noticed some minor welding that is required to non-prescribed areas of the floor, which I'll attempt to show in the photos below. To restore this car to mint condition the minor welding that I mentioned needs to be addressed and the two front wings need to be replaced prior to the car receiving a respray. I have decided to sell this car as I will be working away from home during the next 12 months plus I have just bought a football season ticket for 2015 to watch Cardiff City on weekends therefore I won't have any spare time during the week and on weekends to restore or drive this car, which I hope you will agree from the photos below will be a shame. I have considered dry storing the car for a 12 month period, however, I think the car needs to be restored and enjoyed by a Cortina enthusiast that is more committed than myself therefore I welcome sensible offers from any BSC members out there who are looking for their next restoration project. I have lots of paperwork on this vehicle and can provide further information therefore please do not hesitate to contact me. Cheers Adrian 07545 120436

    My new Tina

Hi I bought a beige 1.6 Crusader in January, which requires a few front panels some welding and a respray. I've been wondering whether I should change the colour, but after seeing your car I will be aiming to achieve the same finish as your car looks amazing. Regards Ade

    Mk5 Body Parts Wanted

Hi thanks for replying to my request. What condition are they in and would you like to message me with your price. Regards Ade
  7. Hi I would appreciate assistance from any experienced members or Mk5 Cortina restorers who can help me source the following items for my Mk5 1.6 Crusader: Lower front panel/valance Front panel centre section Front headlamp top panel Front LH & RH wings. I have been searching eBay and can only find wings that differ considerably in price and mostly require collection. I have searched the Internet, but with the exception of Ex-pressed panels most companies cannot supply all the parts I require. Many thanks Ade
  8. Hi all This is a useful thread as I recently removed my carpet and need to remove my lining to expose the floor to complete some welding. What would be a good alternative carpet lining/sound proofing material to fit only I was thinking of fitting some heavy duty carpet underlay? Thanks Ade
  9. Hi many thanks for this good advice and all the other advice I have received from members via my post. Regards Ade
  10. Hi Craig Do you have a website where I can view some of your completed work? Thanks Adrian
  11. Thanks for your advice. There is only a single screw visible on the internal platic cover and when I removed this the internal cover was still fastened to the pillar. I did not want to pull too hard just in case I damaged the plastic cover therefore do you know how the internal plastic cover is fastened to the pillar? Regards Ade
  12. Hi Guys I would be grateful to receive advice on the correct method for removing the following items from my 1.6 Crusader as I do not want to cause any unnecessary damage to my car: 1. The rear plastic wrap around bumper guards and chrome bumper 2. The side wing and door trims 3. The blank vent cover 4. The internal trim fitted the other side of the external vent cover. I have included photos to illustrate the above points just in case my descriptions is not clear: Many thanks Ade
