    Just wondering if I got his P100 on my list . They still keep popping up now and then.

    I got a brand new one to go on mine (when I EVENTUALLY finish it lmao). Do need to see some progress piccies of yours though G :)

    To all P100 owners I have a used exhaust system for a P100 in two halves . Ideal for a spare or replacement ,no holes it will be a shame to chuck it. anybody interested in it ?

    I have a spare bench seat for a P100 if anybody is interested its a plastic one and has several splits in the seat part . I don't want anything for it just want to get rid or it will go to the tip . Pick up either from UB10 OR MK45.

    Hi Graham. Not using a kit (not sure there is one for the P100). I bought a tool and am using Kunifer pipe as I dont like the look of the copper (plus its a lot harder). The couple of pieces I have made so far have turned out really well.

     

    The kit comprises of a flaring tool female and male joints and the copper pipe and does cortina capri escort etc . Think I'll go for the Kunifer as I'm not keen on the copper , what tool did you buy Tony ?

    Incredible video, epic racing. Interesting the late Cortinas raced. Was there much changed suspension wise?

    I was speaking to a guy today who runs his own bodyshop and he said he restored a 4 door mk5 1.3 L and said its very rare. Was wondering if anybody else has heard of one ?

     

    He went on and told me that two women owned it and inherited it from their father . It was in a bad way,there was a lot of rot and the previous bodyshop started the work and cut it up and left the panels inside the car they then turned around to the women and said they were not interested in doing the job . That's when this guy took the job on .

    Door bottoms are the same but the window frames are definately different to follow the new rake of the windscreen (drop glass is different too). The door mirrors are also different and dont fit saloon due to the different angle (I know because I had to graft a mirror onto a triangle as one of mine was missing).

     

    Thats ture because I brought a door for my saloon many years ago and didn't fit Bortaf said its a late P100 so I kept hold of it then I brought a P100 and fitted it to that.. so a very rare door all for £15

    Damn, I am in work so cant see the image. The early cabs have the small vent in the b post the later type have the large vent (more like a MKV saloon)

     

    Will creep off and check my phone ;)

     

    Also the doors are rounded and not angled on the top closest to the screen

    Funny enough I've just come back home from a night on the . and my halfords car cover covering the XR has ripped and flapping around from all this wind we're having. The car been in the garage all summer till now, it had to make way for all the crap I pulled out of my other house .

    This is not a bad idea and may do this .

    Ohh, like a Tina P100 thread :). Cant wait for the updates.

    I'm aware from previous threads that Hyundai based their car on the Cortina.

     

    I need a back box for my early mk3 running a 1600 Crossflow, and a chap I know says he has a Hyundai one that he *believes* is identical to Cortina. Anyone know if this is the case?

    Not sure I think the axle is the same to a xr set up with the shock and trailing arms in a different position making the rear box position in an upright position on its side , botof will know!

    I do get green eyed reading of your trips in the Cortina! Hopefully I will be doing the same in about 7 years time..that will also be the 60th year of the Cortina!

     

    That seams so far away... 7 years ! will the crayford be done ? will my P100 be resto, will grahams lotus be finished, How many mk3s would Pete rebuild by then ????

    Haven't got them on mine Tony but then again I got nothing holding the battery in place but the leads . However there are a few holes in the back end of the tray for them to hook into but none at the front :unsure:
