  1. I have one of these brackets and the master cylinder that fitted to it.I ot them off a mk2 in Malta 20 years ago.lol..The master cylinder i got a rebuild kit for and it was .7 same as GT and E. There was no seal in the Girling kit for the plastic resivour to cylinder body. not serviced.. If you use that plate on a standard pedal bracket you will have to shortern the studs where it bolt to the firewall as i found out when doing a test fit some months ago they are to long. found some pictures.
  2. Thats looks good to do Blue trim nice and different, and 41/2j GT rims to boot!.. shame i'm not still in the uk i might have to have another wagon.. :icecream:

  4. Hi D Yes your spot on on the colour. Its my favorite mk2 Colour. Had 1600E's and other Estates in this colour. When it polished up it look stunning... Dead rare out here as Austrlia never had the mk2 from the factory. I bought mine over when we moved here in 2008.
  5. Hi Jordan, Thanks for the reply, That looks good. I've been looking at your post for a while also. Looking good. How far down from the top of the strut tube did you weld the threaded sleeve?. I take it you used the same 190 springs, is there some give when you push down on the front of the car. I still have xflow in mine although its has an extra lump on the side. Here's a pic or two
  6. Hi All I'm looking to convert my front legs out for coil over units on my MK2 Cortina estate. The question i have to ask is which is the best spring length and rating for the street, I don't want it like a skate board but want a little movement. The roads out here in Aus are ok but a little rougher than the UK on the smaller roads. My thoughts so far are 12'' long springs with either 175 or 190 llb rating springs. Its a long way to order the wrong ones!!..lol.. Comments please on this welcome.

  19. Very Bright and shiney B)
  20. Steve if your going to machine out the rear drums you will have to get your brake shoes re sized to suit. As the diameter would be larger than standard so the radius and contact area's will be wrong.
  21. Hi All Well had a dig about annd found a few more pictures. So here you are the first is from 1985 at Lilford Park, this was my very First National event. The other two are of STA which i said i had for Rich, The car was at Lilford and the engine bay shot was taken at Symonds Yat i think.. :icecream:
  22. Hi Dave If i remember right mk1 and mk2 Fiesta's had this bar set up for the servo to.. Doing a great job by the way, enjoying seeing it come togeather..
  23. Hey Rich, that great news STA is still about. Shame on the wheels. You would think if Sta is the only 1600E there if the wheel turned up on another Ford they would be easy to spot and reclaim!.. I have a few (lots)lol.. of pictures but they are on paper and not scaned so watch this space and i'll see what i can do. Sure i have a engine bay shot some where.. .
  24. Yes i did restore my Orion 1600E, i have a full resto album of pictures. I sold that and it went south for a few years and i believe it got scrapped :shocking: ... thats what i herd anyway.. Be good to see a few pictures for up in Scotland, They were great years and we loved coming up there.. I'll see if i have a few of them to put up. Might start a new post for them as we don't want to highjack this one.
