  5. Just had an engine hydro carbon clean and what a difference straight away, more power and a much smoother drive, anyone else had theres done? I can definitely recommend it.

The red mk1 was a great learning curve, i found out so much about the ins and outs of the car and although I lost money on it, i will say that it was a great project for that. Thanks for all the tips, advice and motivation to everyone who contributed to this thread, sorry I wasn't able to produce a finished car in the end but i have asked the lads to let me see it when its finished so there may be a fully restored car one day.
