The rims were new from eBay - The hub caps were shipped over from SA and were blue. My good friend Paul took them and respirated them for me. Unfortunately they were too big for the rims so a local garage sorted the rims to take the larger hubs.

    MK3 Hubcaps

Hello, Are these still available?? Thanks, Tony
  13. Borg Warner - South Africa Ford This Rear Axel and propshaft was from a 1975 - South African Ford Cortina MK3 It was a 3.0 Litre XLE - 4 door saloon. One of the shafts has a buckle and makes a whining noise. Gave the car a slight wobble when traveling. I did try to repair this but failed miserably. So ended up replacing for a recon Atlas. I am no mechanic and the garages I went to also proved to be as useless. Especially JD Classics in Chelmsford, Essex. All I know is this:- The shaft has 23 teeth which run 50mm along shaft The shaft has a total length of 740 mm with a 25.4 diameter I’ve been told the diff has a ratio of 3.1 :1 But equally told the ratio could also be 3.44:1 or 3.45:1 Sorry I haven’t a clue which is correct - so please don’t take this information as gospel, a guide at best Open to offers Happy to answer questions and send more pictures if needed - anything more I can’t help!! Collection only from Barking - East London Easy access from M25, M11, A406, A13

    Atlas Axel

Thanks for the update Craig, appreciate your help with this 👍😎
  22. Not sure really?? If liability is proven then my excess is refunded and it will be classed as a non fault claim so premium will not change. Claiming against the council is a difficult task - weight of insurers behind you gives better odds so a better route to go, albeit risky.
