  1. hi all,
earlier this year i fitted a v6 to a corsair with column shift. well now i've got to replace the bushes on the column shift linkage on it. does anyone know where to source the bushes these days? i used capri rod box ones on a zodiac years ago so it's a fair bet the corsair ones are the same too so zephyr/zodiac, capri, corsair, cortina etc etc. gear change linkage/rod bushes is what i'm after if anyone can help.
    thanks, neil.

  3. You didn't read the full post with a 'lol' at the end then? I always read my posts before adding them to a thread so as not to cause offence but obviously you just got the wrong end of the stick, we all can sometimes. As I said no offence was intended but if you don't want to accept that.....

  4. The person doing the work knows what he is doing and know more abut his job than you do. :angry2:

absolutely no offence meant there fella so no need to take any, it was just an observation (you know the sills are curved after all) and was definately not a critisism of anyone's work. i've been doing my own fabrication, body and paintwork for donkeys years and know how much easier it is when the car's at a comfortable height to work on. good luck with it.

ps how do you know he knows more about bodywork than me? i can take offence too, at least i could if i wasn't so thick skinned 'lol'.

  5. "8 point rule"

Yes I found out about this recently also :glare:

If you cut the bulkhead and or tunnel back for clearance you're outside the 8 points so if that's the plan you need to build to biva spec. First thing to check is front screen availability with ec43r (pretty sure that's it) marking. If they are available everything else is straightforward. As mentioned on rodsnsods a 302 ford is an easier swap without cutting required.
