  1. Cant a pic, p/bucket wont allow it. :angry2:
  2. Chards in Bristol do a new one piece for about £160 with grease nipples and circlip U/Js. http://www.prop-shaft.com/ But as you are "up north" probably better to try Northwest props. :) http://www.northwestpropshafts.com/
  3. One here. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-carburettor-Pierburg-4-stud-fitting/112955352879?hash=item1a4ca9e72f:g:abgAAOSwV9ha3LeU
  4. Yep that's it the solid pipe loops round under the bracket. :)
  5. Not blaming you Tom but Jesus!!! whoever put them on focked right up, they are on the wrong way round. :shocking: The green flexes need to be the other side of the brackets that mount to the sub-frame so the flexi points to the engine then curves gently back around to the calliper mounting bracket, that is the same for both sides. I hope that makes sense. You will need to buy a new pair of flexi pipes and probably get a new pair of the solid pipes made up as they are now probably too short.
  6. No, I have to do the same. :headscratch:
  7. I would imagine that the spacer is some sort of heat sink to take engine heat away from the pump, a couple of the gasket kits I have has them. It appears that 1.8 & 2ltr engines have always had them but the 1.3 & 1.6 had them fitted from 82 onwards. I don't know why the 1.3 & 1.6 didn't have them fitted from day one though. :headscratch: 44 mm Engine: TL13, TL16 1 8/70 - 8/82 1454171 70HF 9400 AA 50 mm Engine: TL18, TL16, TL13 1 8/82 - 2/93 1515198 72HF 9400 AA 50 mm Engine: TL20 1 8/70 - 8/94 1515198 72HF 9400 AA
  8. Very pleasant, nearly spilt my porridge ;) . I was expecting that Kerry Katona yak yak bird.
  9. Possibly your most informative and sensible post ever. :juggle:
  10. Where are you getting a set of four Gaz & Spax shocks at those prices ? :shocking: I think you will find they are double that. Which may sadly answer your question.
  11. What about the other bulbs in the instrument cluster, blue main beam & green indicators are they working.?
  12. I found with accuspark it either worked or it didn't there was no in-between so I disposed of it into the bin and went back to points and condenser and carry a spare set in the boot. :)
  13. I feel this is the answer, unless there is more to this story than has been revealed. :juggle:
  14. BIGG RED I don't think I have ever heard a bad word against them. http://www.biggred.co.uk/
  15. Top man is Hans, if anyone can help he will. Does your car have a VIN plate? if yes this site may help you break it down. http://www.fordopedia.org/body-plates/static What year is your car? It is probably worth giving the DVLA a call on Monday and talking to a human. Most of the time they are very helpful and will be able to guide you in the right direction. Paul Runton from the Cortina MK3 Club has helped a few folk get their cars (not all Cortina's) and even a motorbike (Norton) registered correctly. https://www.cortinamk3club.com/contact
  16. What did they (DVLA?) say, I guess there was a letter or note with the returned V55.
  17. Sounds like a good plan going on there, especially if you use the black VEC style e wheels. :afro:
  18. Did you get sorted here Steve ? If not I may be able to help.
  19. I think it may have been Steve (TEAM RADIUS) . :juggle:
  20. Found another job for you. Noge styled chip pan baskets, I recon you could knock a couple of these up if they float your boat. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TD-MK3-CORTINA-GENUINE-FORD-MOTORCRAFT-NOS-RECTANGULAR-HEADLAMP-GUARDS/222904059767?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649
  21. Sadly yes all squished, could be a washing machine now.
  22. Not sure about NI but over here you can generally get your battery supplier to order in a 097 or a 095 with the correct square terminals (T4F). If you go for round terminals a 075 or 075T will more than do the job. :)
