Have you thought of painting one ? not that hard to do , Enamel paint is great on plastic and there is every chance you will find a match. Would recommend an air brush tho.

I need to change my tyres as i have just found out they are 15 years old , eeeeekkkkkk. My car is fitted with Lotus steels and the size on them at the moment is 185 / 60/ 13. Any recommendaition,s as to which tyres to go for ?

I have for sale a pair of passenger seat NOS chrome seat adjuster mechanisms , these are fitted to the left & right hand side of the seat on early 1600Es and Corsair 2000Es When found they still had the protective grease paper on which i have removed and the Chrome is in as new condition with zero rust. The Cortina MK2 parts book list these as part numbers as 736031K18 - LH and 73603K43-LH , i presume LH is for LH Seat. The handle is complete with its black knob. These must be rare as hens teeth to find a pair in such good condition ( i have never seen any for sale ) . Asking £ 200.00 + postage , any questions call me 07860121120 Keith

Yes seen this Brian , trouble is when you clear coat it looses its shine , i have also tried Molotow liquid Chrome , again same problem. I think anything out of a can is not going to work .

Looking for a rear screen for a 4 door MK1 Cortina. Mine has lots of scratches , pitting and lines and i could do with a decent replacement. must be free of marks and scratches if possible, ( i have those already ) cheers Keith.

All you need to convert a Crossflow to 5 speed except a cross member ( available from Retro Ford ) and a prop shaft. Can the front grill and the headlight rings be chromed on the MK1 Cortina ? most of the repro stuff seems to be a dull Aluminium finish even my refurbished front grill has now gone dull. here s hoping for a brighter outcome. cheers Keith.

Looking for a pair of front seats from a series 1 1600E These are the Square type not the later rounded back ones found on series 2 cars.

As above by Beeper , Get it re-cored , i had my big head rad re-cored and its as good as new and cheaper than buying a new Rad. My Temp never risers above normal cost me £ 70.00

i dont know the weight of the MK2 fly wheel but i have a 1600GT engine in my MK1. Recently the ring gear came of my fly wheel and as luck would have it i had a spare Flywheel which came from a stage 3 crossflow ( lightened fly wheel ) I have found this makes no difference at all .

I intend to fit a Type 9 5 speed box into my MK1 Cortina using Retro Fords bellhousing mated to a 1600 GT Crossflow with Clutch kit. Is there a Prop shaft i can fit that will bolt straight on or will i have to have one made up ? cheers K
