  1. MK3 (or 4 or 5) Heater Box View Advert Looking for decent heater box for my MK3 Cortina....the previous owner butchered this one, but it can be sorted with lots of work...It would be easier to change if I could get one ...Thanks Advertiser SarahCadillac Date 05/22/2023 Price Category Parts Wanted
  2. Just come up on Ebay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/374711485615?epid=1239188328&hash=item573e8b84af:g:xnsAAOSwZ7xiDlNz&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA0MMrkGF8dvWpYSBwktEMTsB4EPOWVMIHF8BL6om9AknQVsK4qCd3KMsoH7obLG9eVVbVRVhWvhpws7PvEEzsuE8Dh%2FT%2Fcq%2BjxasnVq8Enf8%2BU28qm6UXc2NIlvLRC5jVs8lyHucKE4PiQL%2BYyjFaTdieMOiXHzD%2B62pWDstVKo0qZCmiAnFXCJRZh%2BF2JwlkKolnokGGPsihT3yg1rhSvCcJUDKv7%2FT0TwONdkadtkz5KGNOzWsIDcUqpCFDU4r6czJUy3sjliIoe9WTEpgFqt4%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR_TtsdGIYg
  3. Thanks ...Yes I've seen that one and two new ones on Marketplace. I'm told there's a buyer for the new ones and I'm next if let down .... Pic coming soon...this is a restoration project
  4. As I replied elsewhere, I remove ethanol from my fuel Put fuel in a clear container, add a cup of water, shake and leave upside down for 24hrs Water and ethanol combine and can be drained off leaving neat fuel Great for winter storage too I always carry a 2kg dry powder extinguisher too. This year, my friend lost his trans am outside his home due to fuel pipe failure and no extinguisher, so sad ...
  5. I'm surprised Fuzz didn't talk about removing ethanol When I store my classics, I put fuel in to clear containers, add a cup of water, give a good shape and leave upside down due 24 hrs Then, drain the water and ethanol that settled at the bottom and pour the neat fuel in to the tank
  6. I'm in need of two steel front wings and I saw a pair of brand new doors (2 door model) fir sake a few months back before buying my 2 door MK3 ... Grrrr, they sold. I sold my 62 Cadillac a while ago and run an American 41 Hot Rod Americans are really set up for classics. I can get anything delivered here in three days including steel panels. Easier getting American bits than Cortina bits. But then again, they produce in far greater numbers
  7. Hi and thanks for the add here.

I'm a qualified engineer by trade but a technophobe, so hopefully I'll not lose this group. I don't even know what photobucket is and rarely use Farcebook lol.

I owned a rare spec MK3 2 door from almost new for over 20 years, Ziebarted from new and in gorgeous jade green metallic. Sold due to losing house years ago. Lucky was the new owner

Just saved another 2 door facelift of the same year from the scrapper. It's a mess, a true colender. I've restored worse.

Good omen too it's original colour was green. Going to recreate my dream car that I once owned and selling my near mint pinto LWB MK2 Transit ex ambulance for needed funds and to free up spare time and space up.

    This Cortina is a keeper.

I'd love to find two good doors and wings. Tombstone seats are rare but I have the MK2 ones I may alter to recreate the MK3 version .

This is going to be costly but a work of love. I have other classics too ....
