hello, I 'arrived' a bit by chance on your forum because I have a problem with a fuel tank sender unit.
I have test it whith an ohm meter => empty = 73 ohms full =20 ohms.
You says : Ford 5v instruments empty = 73 ohms 1/2 = 23 ohm full =10 ohms give or take a few.
What do you mean by : 10 ohms give or take a few.
Do you know of any Ford 5V equipment that comes from the factory with a different resistance range like mine?
My vehicle is a FORD Transit MK2.
The fuel level indicator has the manufacturing unit number: 6053583 / 76VB9275CA.
Unless I'm mistaken, it has been installed on many FORD vehicles.
