Are the headrests you have the ones supported by a single flat rod? If do that'd be great! There's no visible slots on the front seat tops but the seats were retrimmed by the previous owner, who gave me this: So I'm assuming (gambling?) that the seats have the necessary mechanism inside to receive the post.

Hi all Does anyone know if mk 1 granada front seats fit a mk 4? Although the front seats in my mk 4 are in good condition, they lack headrests (well, the drivers seat has a fiesta headrest crudely welded on it ) I've seen a set of granada front seats for sale with the headrests that look like the correct type for a mark 4 - rectangular cushion on a single flat post. Cheers

8x5, that's an unusual size. Anyway, thanks for looking Jim

Hi everyone Does anyone know what size the dash speaker is on a mk 4? I read on an old topic here that it's 6x4 on a mk 3, guessing it's probably the same but does anyone know for sure? I'd like to fit a better speaker as I've just finishing a job to gut the old (and useless) p21 radio, and fit a bluetooth receiver & amp. Basically this thing: I Cheers Jim

BTW I think the rear of the car looks a little bit jacked up. Is that normal?
-
Right hope fully I've done the image linking correctly (uses imgbb). https://ibb.co/q1kF6zL I only just realised I haven't put the black place hub covers, which reminds that I need to buy a new one as one of the old ones is knackered. I also have the chrome rings that fit inside but I'm in 2 minds if I fit those. The wheels look so good after refurbishment that I'm not sure if it needs the chrome trims. 🤔

I got the original wheels on now, and you were right, Beeper, not only is the steering a lot lighter, the car feels more lively and generally feels a lot nicer on the road. I've no idea why the pepper pots on the car in the first place. Come springtime, I'll sell the old alloys on fleabay

I've got the original dartboard wheels back from the refurb place so I'm keen to get them on the car and finally be rid of the pepper pot wheels it came with - yay! I thought it'd be easier to jack the rear end up for convenience when swapping the wheels

Thanks! Thought I'd check as I've heard it's not recommended on some cars

Hi everyone Simple question really, but what's the best way to raise the rear of a mk 4? Is a trolley jack under the diff & axle stands ok? Cheers
-
Thanks! I've got some new old stock shoes on order (asbestos! ), just need to source the cylinder - the info you've sent me is a great help. Cheers
-
No worries, thanks for looking!
-
Thank you, I appreciate the help :)

If I'm putting new shoes & cylinder on, will I need to set up the self adjustment?
-
What is the adjustment for, is it the handbrake? I'm a bit clueless with drums as I've only ever repaired disk brakes!
