  1. Can anyone on here tell me what the length of the staight bar on the throttle pedal on a mk 2 lotus cortina is please? I've just got back my "upgraded staged and bored out kent block with twin 40's. I will need to change the linkage from rods to cable. I have shortened the original linkage and have a rod to weld onto the pedal rod. I only want to do this once and properly and after a lot of head scratching this is my best option. the arrowed rod is the one Thanks
  2. does anyone know of somewhere I can get a heater blower from please? or are there any ones that are remanufactured that fit - I see the MG owners club sell a blower that looks the same for only £60
  3. Thanks stripped out.................. the heater the blower was siezed, stripped down and found the spindle on the brass bushes were seized unfortuneately in my haste the card that secures the brrushes broke in half, and the bushes only go in once the whole motor has been removed! anyone know where i can get one from?
  4. I'm sure I'm missing something here and before I strip out the heater motor I just want to check that I've done everything else. The heater on my 1600E wasnt woring on any speed. I checked heater ballast resistorand it had burnt out. So new one fitted. Still not working. Green wires in the loom go into a splitter. White wire ( live when ignition on) goes up into heater motor. White wire coming out goes to single terminal on ballast resistor. Black wires from regulator go to back of switch centre terminal. Traced green wires from switch go to other 2 terminals on ballast resistor. Stopped and cleaned switch checked continuity all OK. I am assuming I need to take the motor out to check that now? Or have I missed something stupid?
