I brought this car in 1978. The shell is in remarkable condition, strong and rust free in all the important places and would be hard to match nowadays, the bodywork is superficially tatty and needs a good tidy up, will make an excellent race/ rally car again , there is rust on the doors (unsurprisingly) but very little where it counts
engine rebuild in 1978 and only run for 500 miles bored to 1575 with lightened and balanced crank, stage 2 big valve head , brand new (at the time) twin 40 DCOE’s (jetted and set up by Ripspeed racing) 4 branch manifold which delivered a surprising performance through a 2000E close ratio box.
We used it for a few road rallies then we entered and finished the 1979 Happy Eater stage rally.
After all of that it has been dry stored with a view to getting her out again, the engine is out with head off for inspection and the car is stripped out for inspection.
It would be hard to find a better 2 door shell sale includes shell, engine , gearbox etc.
Will split for the right offers
