well that was it , just needed a better earth , which i thought it might , im using an Autosparks loom which in hindsight i wish i hadn't, so i have the double solenoid ,but its turning over a treat now. onto the ignition system next then thanks all

im trying to get the starter motor on my Essex engine to turn over, its a new lucas starter, 9 teeth, works on the bench but once in it wont engage, i can hear it try but it seems to stick , the engine turns over by hand fine, as far as i know its a 3L Capri Engine , new battery, but located in the boot . new loom , its a Cortina Savage so the engine is a bit of an unknown , i bought it as a complete rebuilt engine. would the flywheel be different on certain engines ? its it an Earth fault ,as in needs a bigger earth cable closer to the starter ?

for sale 4 doors from a four door to good to scrap, prop shaft, set of 1600E wheels (no tyres) set of seats from an E (drivers is ripped)in black plus lots of other small bits hinges, trim, plus 5 1300 x/flow engines and 4 gearboxs plus an essex engine in bits. all need to go, located in somerset.

Hi im trying to locate an exhaust manifold for my mk2 savage, i need the passenger side(servo side) do you know of one i could buy or borrow to get copied, or can you tell me if its the same as either a zodiac one or a zepthyr. have come to a bit of a stand still with out it. many thanks, Stew, 01935 848840

Hi i believe so this is a black set the top of the rear pad needs restitching along a 6inch seam as the stitching has come undone (its not torn ) what to sell the lot as a oner, really. i live down in somerset, Stew

has any one got a spare near side (passenger side)exhaust manifold for a mk 2 savage or does any one know if both sides are the same as i have one side but the other has gone missing whilst the car was in storage(striped down), any info is most greatfully recieved as its now holding up my re-build, cheers and a happy new year, Stew :tazz:
