  2. As per title really chaps  Im after an unlock code for a stereo that Ive had on the shelf for a little while. I recall a free website that you just entered your serial number into and it generated the code for you. (The stereo unit is a late 90s Focus Mk1 style unit thats almost double din in depth) Ive been searching the net and all I find is websites that want me to install their software/toolbars etc. All I want is a code so I can fire up and test the stereo!!! Can anybody help??
  3. Lin, I never forget a Crayford owner! The cars are too special to forget about! Although it is obvious that Greg is surely: Mr Mk4 and Mk5 Crayford :showoff: :winner:
  4. Im glad that you have both made contact, although Im sorry that I did not get a chance to email you Lin or Kev  Tony
  5. Ive been told by a Mk1 owning mate of mine, that Midland Wheels were being slated for reproduction 7 inch RS 4 Spokes that were OBVIOUSLY not original? Using, this example, Id rather have something that looked the same but was manufactured using todays components/materials rather than having a set of 35 year old wheels on my car. I would never try to pass them off as originals though.
  6. Here is what you do Paul: Fit the alloys as I think you will prefer the look of them teamed up with the spoilers. If you dont like them, fit the steels. I would definitely fit a Series X Sticker although I made my own badges as the stickers werent available back in 1997. The whole point about Series X was you could have the whole lot or just what you fancied.
  7. I might have some wheel clamps available after October. Its what Im going to fit on mine in the garage
  8. I followed you up Detling Hill a few months ago. Old Skool stickers merged in with the original Ford stamped letters on the tailgate looked good
  9. These are the only pictures that I have Greg. Ill email Kev and see if he can send me some as I can contact him through Gail's old site
  10. I doubt it Paul. HOE400W was up for £6k recently.
  11. Thats Kev & Lyns car from Gails old site. He also had the Mk4 UOP785S from memory.
  12. Give me a few days notice then Paul !
  13. Surely Colin could make one
  14. Rob, you know where to look for the right answer! Ill get some frontal pics of Jary for you or you can come and take some measurements yourself
  15. Do Rally Design still do them Rob?
  16. You have PM regarding the Mondeo Alloys
  17. Jary is in the garage Paul if you want a butchers at some point. Wont take long to get it up on stands if you want a nosey ...
  18. Up for grabs is a copy of Performance Ford from April 1993. This issue had a feature on the Cortina XR6 that now belongs to Graham. £4.50 including recorded delivery postage. It may sound steep but over £2.50 goes to the Royal Mail. Similar issues start at £6 on the dreaded ebay.
  19. Id be interested if you can find the cable that mates the two together
  20. I would not shoot anybody down in flames for obtaining an accurate market valuation to replace LIKE FOR LIKE. That is the crux of the matter. To replace the vehicle youre insuring with one in exactly the same condition, not similar, ie just another red Cortina Ghia is the important fact here. We are not talking insuring an 06 Focus Ghia where you could quite easily go on autotrader website and find three dozen of them within certain prce brackets. The whole point of specialised insurance policies is that the owner is insuring their car, not just a car that falls within certain perameters of car. What we have to be aware of though, is just because a certain person's car is valued at £xxxxx, does not mean that every similar model is worth the same amount. We are talking insurance valuation to replace the car LIKE FOR LIKE not a general market valuation.
  21. Automatic badges were not fitted to the Mk5s They stopped being used with the Mk4 Cortina, Mk2 pre 1981 facelift Granada. I cant recall if they were used on the Mk2 Escort. Capris after 1983 were not fitted with an automatic decal.
  22. That Sharp unit is aftermarket as are the door speakers
  23. Standard Radio Unit for the GL was the P21 push button radio. It was standard entry level fitment to all Fords from the same era. The Brochure pic shows the RST32 Radio/Cassette Unit. There was also an FM version of the RST32 and an electronic version known as the ESRT32. Ill scan an accessory brochure later  Most were available as extra cost upgrades
