I never ran it but all looks good . The head was taken off for inspection of the block . The block was good and sold with the car but the guy didn't want the head for some unknown reason . It's not unleaded so I suspect that was the reason .

When I use talk to my lad about building a electric drag car ( my lad said I couldn't do it . ) I said I'd use a old fork lift . Because I only needed a 14 second run or less changing the way they were wired, ie parallel / series was how I'd invision doing it . Rather. Than lasting a 12 hour shift last a lenth of the strip . My lad would just laugh . I still feel it could be done and have seen other people do it on line to . -

300 miles is a bit ambitious why do some thing realistic like 200 miles . I've just done that in my car and took 4 hours . Mostly motorway . How often do most people do a 200 mile trip .it will help with power and weight . With less weight you will also need less power win win . -

I've seen electric motors bolted to the belhousing in much the same way a petrol engine is . I've said to my eldest lad that I could build a drag car that would be faster than my turbo pinto . Its a sub 6 second car with a 14 sec pass at 103 mph . There's lots of videos of people doing this on the inter web . These could help you deicide battery type and motor . It's a good way to go and technology is moving faster than you can make a car . In other words it will be out of date buy the time you have fitted it . Also wheeler dealers did a program on the same subject . So loads of info out there . Good luck . -
Don't forget I sent a mk5 shell to the track last year . Very rusty and every thing removed for my lads car and others .
-
I was thinking out loud lol . I was thinking drag racing . But let's see what's left . :thumbup:q How much for the shell . I'm just thinking that's all

Did someone say race shell :sofa:

To see if it's a early car or late check the holes for the front cradle . Early are small holes late have big holes like mk4 and five . It's the best way to tell as dashes can be changed etc . Very hard to change the front rails but not impossible .

4.44 and 4.11 available in 1300 . 4.6 I think is p100 . I wouldn't mind a 4.11 atlas .
