  2. You can get high torque starter motors, but don't no how good they are, You can put in a kill switch, which has bee. Suggested, So you can Crank engine over then hit kill switch You cr sounds very high, do you no what cr your Running
  3. Ok what you can do is test it with a Multimeter Connect multimeter to positive side of coil with engine running if it shows 12to14v you can buy lucas sports coil 12v, if test shows under 12v more like 9v you will need a ballast coil. hope this helps you: Mark
  4. there are two types of coils, (ballast coil) & non ballast coils most electronic ignitions run a (non ballast) coil 12v, do you no the make of your electronic ignition All mk2 cortina left factory with a ballast coil system.

Hi knapman i had the same problem last month, i was told series 2 bush is not interchangeable with series 1, but Triumph MGA uses a felt sleeve you can buy them on ebay, i had to trim it a touch and soak it in oil, it has taken out the play for now so i can drive it. until i can find a permanent solution, what we need is some one to machine up some brass bushes :thumbup:

  11. Yes I ordered 3 items from rotary_products 2 got through, no tax, 1 didn't I had to pay import tax. emailed rotary_ products. He said he couldn't understand why I was charged tax as he sends all the parcels as a gift item with no invoice
  12. Fit windows first, then you can run none setting sealant under rubber seal, & clean up excess with white spirits
  13. Yes I have used rotary_products for my mk2 I bought door seals, boot rubber rear screen rubber All were a excellent fit, & door seals worked out cheaper than 1600e club The 1600e club want £190 + postage for the item in your link Mark
  14. Graham! are you running polyethylene bushes on your front suspension. I personally think It's a bad idea on a Mk1/2 cortina The standard bushes will absorb most of the energy going through the suspension. When poly bush won't End result is stress fractures & f##k ball joints

  22. Yes the D1's are repro from midland wheels, My doors, boot, rear screen rubbers are all out of stock at 1600e club. And they don't no when they are coming in So I ordered the rubbers from rotary_products in Australia, which have arrived now
