yes the lotus rad is about 2inches taller.

are you using a standard gt rad or have you upgraded to lotus rad as a tuned engine will produce more heat

Thanks m8, Joe,s covers do look good, Not got to much to do now. Front seats are being re-covered, new window rubbers, & carpet on order, And sort engine out as it,s over fueling

i think the simplest way is to get some one to ali weld 2 pedestals, then you can drill & tap

Hi D-FENS When i say old boy i really Mean it he,s 82 :showoff: but he don,t look it, i can ask him if he,s interested in doing some more work, but my Headlinning was the worse he had fitted in 60 years, he said the material (lobe star) was :poo: only stretched from front to back & not to side to side, not even with a heat gun, with all these issues i think he,s done a fantastic job, it was a more like sticking vinyl

but if cast date is say 1 month before car build date its very probable its the original yes spot on dave. thats how i dated my engine. i couldn,t find any number to correspond with vin number. but cast date was the same month as built date

engine has a cast number which can be decoded to give you it's cast date

there is two sizes 3/8 unf or m10 fine with 1mm pitch. on my mk2 the track rod end is m10 1mm pitch. 3/8 unf fits but is to slack :headscratch:
