I had your trouble, hammers and keyboards don't mix apparently? Welcome aboard.
  2. Only need one more Brendan with Keith's 5.
  3. Just wondered Keith, mine went as a "personal" car purchase but to a Triumph/MG dealer so I expect it'll be for sale soon...
  4. If it's my old woody Keith (Bought off Colin), it's had a fair amount of welding...
  5. If you shim or use taller posts the rocker cover will foul on them, trust me I've done it!!
  6. These would provide some protection to your neck/whiplash should the need arise? £50.00 posted to UK.
  7. Not just any Rust..... That's Lotus Rust.
  8. Wow! that's original as a pear...
  9. The seats in the car came out of a S1 Mk2 Lotus, may interest Chris I would think?
  10. Senior moment Keith? The link is to Nick's Irvin seat belts....
  11. I guessed you knew, I was answering the post above mine from TIB3300 and hopefully making it clearer for people who didn't. If you've got an Kent engine that's been running a A6 then it will have modified pistons and valve platforms, are you replacing them too?
  12. Part Number: A6 Well known full race profile. Good power between 5500-9000rpm. Part Number: A2 Well proven fast road/rally type camshaft with good mid range to top end power. One is a Race track Cam, The other is a road Cam.
  13. It's a series 1 1600E, should have full chrome rostyles, not trim rings Keith. I took the original wheels off because the chrome was naff...
  14. Good idea Keith, I'll call him.
  15. If anybody has one for sale, needed as a spare for my Mk1 Cortina Estate.
  16. Can't remember his name, I kept in touch with him for a long time, it's not George??? Was it Charles? I'm not putting the woody back to it's original Grey, quite happy with the blue it's painted in now. Any mods I do will not involve things that can't be returned to standard. I am going to run it through the summer as is and collect up some period tuning parts.
  17. Few jobs to do to it and then full re-spray and new tailgate towards then end of 2016. Good luck with finding a new Cortina will then be able to attend a few shows next year.
  18. I will do Rob, but I got a bad back for Christmas, although it wasn't on my list, so haven't moved as far as the garage for a few days...
  19. You don't miss much do you? Hope you Helen and the boys had a good one, I'll poke around a few bushes and see what I find ;)
  20. I'll help you look Rob, where did you leave it?
