Some of you might have seen the pics of my car some time ago. Ive had it for several years and have only recently had the money to get going and try getting it the way i want it. I got hold of a 2.3 ghia with the intension of swapping the running gear over and putting a set of gear alloys on it and that would be about it,but as i moved recently and made a few quid on the house the missus gave me the green light to go the whole hog and get it exactly the way i want it. Steve Taylor then took it to his place (Performance Conversions) along with the donor 2.3 ghia. Steve then done one of his legendary Cosworth 24v conversions on it using the donor car for parts where needed. The engine bay was painted and the car was undersealed. I think even Steve was impressed with condition of the bodywork, zero rot and only very minor surface rust in one or two places.Steve also fitted the leather Cosworth Recaro's and centre console which i had got hold of along with new shocks and springs.I then got hold of some fishnet headrests which went straght in and fitted a new black carpet. The door cards and interior handles were changed to black using a product from a company called "Furniture clinic" who specialize in leather restoration and re-colouring with really excellent results, they look factory black and not glossy black like the paint you can get. I then got some Cossie alloys to finish it off nicely. There's still some bits and piece's to do (gettin rid of the 2.3 badge for starters) and a new exhaust system, but i'm on the home straight now. Big thanks to Steve Taylor for his work and my wife for putting up with my Cortina obsession. Here's a few piccy's....before and after. This is the car now.... Hope you like it!!!

Yeah, Steve was saying that he had just done yours recently. Nice to see the finished car, and what a minter to start with! Is that still the 1.3L badge on the back? Its actually a 2.3 badge as thats what it was going to have but then thought mmmm....Cosworth!! cant wait to see yours finished and possibly get them both together at a show or meet somewhere.
