  1. Morning guys. I've raised the whole car up nice and high and I've taken multiple pictures of the front subframe/suspension so you can see it better 👍🏻
  2. All I know so far is I've had to do the hi-viz attached to the ladders trick that builders do as I've clonked my head on the open doors SO many times in the garage
  3. Yes, I've been really enjoying the Nova series and the 2 Eagle episodes so far. I think he plans on doing a long distance trip in the Eagle soon
  4. Ah - yeah that'd be no good as the engine is already slightly higher than the bonnet line (it has the Sierra 2.8i in it)
  5. I'll be attempting to strip it down at the weekend so I'll be able to get some better pics of how it attaches to the box section of the chassis for you
  6. Thanks mate! I'll keep you in the loop! This project is the main focus of my YouTube channel at the moment - let me know if you want the link :) Yes it's got the gullwings
  7. Hi folks - very, very long time no see! I've not been around here since I sold my mkV a million years ago. I hope you don't mind this post (admins delete if it's not ok!) I am rebuilding a kitcar from the 80s called an Eagle SS. It uses Cortina 3/4/5 front subframes and suspension and Sierra rear. I'm wanting to slam it in the weeds but need to consider the best options. I need it to be adjustable so want to go coilovers but I've been told that this option is difficult on mk3 3/4/5 Cortinas? Do any of you guys have experience with this?
  8. Sweet! nice colour too, i really want one of those spoilers on mine along with the front one that matches..
  9. On a dis-used airfield i got 102 ish in my 4 speed 1.6 mk5 not bad, on the same airfield i got 130 out of my 2.1 capri (before one of my arch extensions ripped off!)
  10. To be honest mate, i always stick to the good old industry standard of 30psi all round, works for me!
  11. Good job done mate - we all know where to come to get them fitted now, eh?  Haha, i think not! :car: B)
  12. Cheers guys got it done! Enlisted the help of my mate, turned out the little plastic gromit bits that came with my kit where rubbish hence it continually falling to peices and drivin me mad! Sorted now and im loving driving it again!
  13. Guys it driving me absolutely insane  Ive got the pedal off but the brake one came loose as i pulled the shaft out too far. I dont know what order the shims and washers and so on go or where the R clip locates as i cant remember. Anyone got an exploded view of the whole thing (thats better than the bloody haynes effort) in place on the shaft including all the washers and so on? Also, does the ratchet have to be in mesh with the top bit when you put it on the shaft? Its so friggin fiddly its doing my head in!
  14. I fitted deflex ones to my cortina and i did have to fettle with a lot of them specifically lower void bushes and steering rack bushes, but one on they have been great - handlin is brilliant, cant say how long they'll last as i only did em a month ago or so. I just used a stanley blade, hacksaw and a file and they went in alright. Hope this helps!
  15. Hi there! Just read the whole thread - flippin amazin! Some tasty work going on its gonna look great when you've finished :winner: What stage you at now? How come all the dash had to come off?!
