  1. Hi everyone, does anyone have or know the best place to get a master cycinder for a mk4,cheers
  2. Cheers Rob,i"m a bit gutted tbh! I"ll give that a go Fred,it"ll take me hours tho!lol
  3. I have taken the harsh decision to sell both my Cortinas now,i did advertise them before, but was a little concerned with the engine in the Mk4  This has now been sorted, with another engine from a member off bsc :clown: Firstly, the mk4:Its a 2litre Ghia,in white with a black vinyl roof, and black interior. It is a very nice car,the sills, inner wings, bootfloor, are all in good condition,as is the vinyl roof, the paintwork, even the interior is spot on.There is some rust bubbles around the car, mainly the front of the front wings, and the arches, but these are by no means bad or holed. This just portrays the cars general all round good, original condition.A pair of new front wings can be sold with the car anyway. Mechanically, this car is good too,the engine is spot on,no knocks, oil leaks or oil burning, brakes good, etc. She"s MOTed and taxed till Feb,i"m looking for £1500. Now the Mk5,she"s a very early 2litre GL,in red, mechaniclly shes very good,no smoke, knocks, etc, and this ones an auto. The Mk5 has no MOT,this ran out in March, theres a hole the size of a 50p piece on one of the sills, apart from this, and a few rust scabs, and repairs to the offside front wing, she is very clean.I"m looking for around £500 for this one.I don"t know how to post pics on here, but loads can be found in members cars, cheers girls and guys!
  4. Really sorry to hear that Darren, but all the best with the truck.
  5. Very true, must admit i nearly brought a Mk4,2.0 litre Ghia from him about 4 years ago. It looked immaculate, untill on closer inspaction, when i opened the n/side rear pass.door, the top of the kick panel had been crudely plated over, where the B post joins it, he wanted £2995,i walked away. :winner: Silly thing was he had a Mk3 GT,which did look v.nice, for not much more.
  6. And that Cortina"s running like a dream now Rob! :winner: I"ll be taking it for a nice long drive later,it goes like stink now mate!Anyway, cheers for that yesterday Rob
  7. That seems well overpriced!
  8. Yeah mate, wish i had the money!

  14. Hi folks, does anyone have or anyone know where i can pick up a decent engine for my Mk4? Originally i thought just the valve guides & cam were worn, but i have been told by a trusted source its the rings gone  Tried everything else,PCV valve etc,to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated, more so as i intend to use the mk4 for the Yat,but don"t trust it at the mo,cheers,Jas.
