Ford Cortina 2.0 GL 5spd for sale. In excellent condition.
Reconditioned 2.0 Pinto (done 1000 miles since fitted).
5 Speed Type9 Box with new output seal and rear mount.
New discs, pads, shoes and cylinders.
Recent master cylinder.
New lower front ball joints and track rod ball joints.
Regreased front wheel bearings.
Fully serviced inc. oil, filter, spark plugs, dizzy cap, rotor arm, points, condensor and leads.
Carb kit fitted recently.
K&N Filter
Polished RS2000 4 Spokes with new tyres.
Boot Spoiler (rare).
Crusader interior.
Towbar with working electrics
All welding done (cut out all rust, repaired and waxolyed). Car had no welding until I repaired tops of inner wings and lower A panels.
No rusty holes or scabs. Only filler thats in the car is to dress welding repairs. NO FILLED RUSTY HOLES!
Car is solid and needs no body repairs.
I purchased this Cortina in July last year. Since then I have restored it to a solid, reliable and usable Classic Ford. I have not kept any receipts for the work I have done as I was never going to sell it but due to buying our first house, living too far away from work and the need to fund the restoration of my JPS Capri I have reluctantly decided to sell my Cortina.
It is MOT'd until Nov 2011 and the only advisories it got was a stone chip in screen (not in swept area) and I had my daughters baby seat fitted so could not check seatbelt (but does work!!!).
This car runs great, it has very fresh 2.0 pinto and is a propper cruising machine with a 5spd gearbox. The car was originally a auto but as converted years ago.
I cannot fault this car other than there is no stereo and interior has a 2" tear on a seam on passenger seat.
It is by no means a show winner or concourse contender. It is a very practical and reliable, good looking Classic Ford that has many many years of enjoyment left in it. It even has original dealer sticker and tax disc holder!! This is one car I know I will regret selling but has to go.
It has covered 73k miles.
I want £1150 for this car. I understand there are Cortinas out there that are cheaper but this one wants for nothing (apart from a stereo) and is a hassle free drive away car.
