Looking at the seal available they look nothing like the ones on the car . If anyone has used them have you got any pictures of them fitted thanks

Hi I have these quarter light rubbers which were in a box of spares I bought when I had a Cortina. The bloke I got them from had a Mk2 GT 2 door. Once I can identify them they will be for sale. Theres also a lot of other stuff clocks, gauges, new brake shoes, wheel bearing kit, release bearing, glove box door, wheel cylinder repair kit and new ignition barrel with 1 door lock.. Also a new dash cover (the black bit that surrounds the gauges. I have many pictures I can email if your interested and theres plenty of useful stuff that I dont need anymore.

I have the artical somewhere? a woman owned it IIRC ? a one off build in germany wasn't ? that's certainly some interesting pics of some rare parts theer mete :D being a sad anorac is there any chance of some bigger ones so i can studey them better :oops: thanks all for your interest in the bits they did come from the barnstable area but the man i got the stuff from said it was not the zepher mentioned it was in a mk2 capri i have a lot of paper work with it and some photo coppies from dvla with previous owners of the capri it was registard as a 4x4 one of the last owners being rodney trevor quaife. the axle looks like a capri but its 5 stud iam not sure i will try to send some bigger pictures to bortaf cheers trev

i have just brought a load of cortina bits and with it came a 3lt essex engine sat on a large alloy sump with front drive shafts a gear box with transfer box its a 4x4 set up there are some badges with it saying formula ferguson not really sure what its out of looks like a transit or simular any info would be grate cheers trev

Hi all, sorry i haven't replied ben ill with man flu!! just to let you all know that after starting this thread i had a phone call within the hour to say that it was my fault. the address on paypal was wrong which is funny as i have used this for years and always got the items. the parcel was supposed to of been returned to him. he said he would give me a refund but i told him i would prefer the bumper. he said he couldn't be bothered to resend it so sent me a refund instead which i have recieved. i have since found another bumper, using paypal, and guess what it is now on my car!!!! i just found it really funny that after posting on this forum that he had contacted me asking me to remove this post asap. regarding DHL they did check for any parcels using my postcode and told me there was nothing. perhaps i just spoke to the right person. i would just like to wish you all a merry christmas and a happy new year.........even you Slammed!! cheers trev

I dont know where to go on here for some advice. I have bought some parts off a member on here and i paid him using paypal for £46.73 on the 3rd November. Now after many calls and promises still nothing. I spoke to him last week and he told me DHL had collected it and it would be with me in the next couple of days. I asked for the tracking number but he said he didn't have it on him. I rang DHL and they have no record of anything. He wont even answer the phone. Have I been robbed? This site is my only contact point with him. I have bought and sold parts with other members with no trouble at all. Whats the best way to go around this. Can BSC help or would I have to go the legal route. Its a shame that you get people like this. We are all in the same sinking boat. I have also noticed he has other parts for sale and I dont want others to be caught out too. cheers trev

hi i am after the 2 clips that holds the heater control cables in place on the side of the heater and i need the piece of pipe that joins the filler neck to the tank mine has gone rock hard also need a pair of the oval rubber grommet things that goes behind the front indicator and side light cheers trev

hi took some pictures of the screen rubbers today. had them fitted went well just slight kink on one corner nothing to worry about just put a dab of sealer underneath it. i have put some pictures under the members car section.

hi just thought it was about time i put some pictures of my car on. The one showing the window rubbers are the ones i bought EKT and they fitted quite well. The headlining came from there as well. Not the best quality but it looks ok. I have been doing the car for some time now but its getting there!!

Bugger. Well mines back form paint tomorrow and i've nothing to get it water tight with. not a huge problem but i need windows at some point of the build up! haha. please let me know how you get on. and can you take pictures? please? :headscratch: hi i rang ekt this morning and he told me that their rubbers fitted series 1 and 2 models . so i got my glass out of the loft and tried the rubbers on my screens and they went on very easy i was suprised cos i normally have trouble fitting rubbers :winner: i will take some pictures when they are in the car tomorrow

The thing is east kent trim also have the rear one, boot seal and glass seal. I want the lot, as i hate fitting tatty parts back on after a respray. (brightwork excluded, i havent won the lottery :lol: ) Maybe i'll just be a guinea pig and make a photo report for future reference :winner: I dont think i have a choice to be honest as no one has been able to give me a definitive answer :( front screen rubber rear screen rubber x4 exterior Window seals Boot seal Chrome inserts £115.90 £20.28 VAT £10 P+P £146.18 lighter by the end of the week i think! oof :clown: . The front rubbers have come down in price they were £40 at one time Please do let us know how you get on dont bother getting mk2 boot seal from ekt it wont fit i now i got one there door seals are no good either as for the interior glass scraper felt thingy its to thin and wont even toutch the glass i got screen rubbers from them should be fitting this week mines a series one they dont ask you if you got a series 1 or 2 will phone them in morning to check with them

Hi all. Just an update on the door seal situation. Just rang EKT to ask why i havent received a refund yet when they got them back on the 2nd and was told they hadn't got round to it yet! He said he was going to ring me and ask why i was the only one in the world who had complained about them and couldn't get them to fit.He told me they are better than the original ford ones and they sell hundreds a year with no complaints. He also told me they supply burtons and the ford 1600e owners club buy theirs from them as well so i would be wasting my time buying from them as they are the same ones. I don't know what to make of it all and its taking the fun out of restoring my cortina

He told me that i got it wrong he never said they come with moulded corners and you have to make your own up. Well thats crap! He then said if your not happy send them back. i opened the headlining and laid my old one top the new one is a lot bigger but all the seams line up so with a bit of triming it may fit. i remember buying one for my mustang and it fitted like a glove perhaps the americans take more pride in what they sell! Going to ring the 1600e owners club tonight hopefully they got some cheers trev

Hi I have just received my door seals from East Kent Trimmers. When I placed my order I was told they would have a moulded corner and the rest is glue on. Well all I got was a rubber strip with no shaped corner. Has anyone else brought from them and was theirs moulded or not. Hope the headlining is ok and the rets of the stuff I ordered cheers trev
