  1. Think I've just done a little wee !!!! :shocking: Nick, my dear pal. "SUG" looks absolutely stunning !!! - It may of been some time in the making, but looking at the end result, it was well, well worth it !! I cannot describe in words how stunning and how pleased I am for you, you must be so proud of you stunning creation ! :winner: Well done Nick - Its absolutely beautiful and the colour is stunning (although I'm biased as Silver Fox is my favourite colour) BEAUTIFUL AND WELL DONE !!! :winner: :winner:
  2. EXCELLENT NICK !!!! :winner:
  3. As it always been like this ? - Have you recently changed the coil ? If the wrong type of coil is fitted, it could be sending out the wrong pulse for the tacho to read.
  4. Some sound advice indeed mate, they definitely sound dodgey to me too. I remember, not long ago, I was working on my Cortina in the garage when pikies came round in their van lookin for scrap metal (or for what metal they could nick whether it be scrap or not) and they "clocked" my car in the garage - I didn't sleep for a week worrying they'd return to nick it. Stay safe and vigilant at all times everyone - you never know who's watchin ya !!
  5. Think its just a manufacture plate from when it was in the factory
  6. here's some piccys of underneath ......  :winner:
  7. It was the Classic Car addiction Hans, I lasted just over two weeks !!
  8. Yes it was mate. A very nice Chap from Shropshire came and paid the full asking price. I was having a break from classics until I saw the Capri, I just couldn't resist myself - especially with ony 29k from new !!
  9. Its a possibility but with only 29k, I doubt it to be honest. Strange that ALL the copies of V5's I have state - Engine Number: "Unknown"
  10. The V5 states the engine number as "Unknown" I have copies of the log books from "Day one" and they all state the engine number as "Unknown" I'm very baffled. I know where the engine number should be but it isn't there. History of the vehicle and evidence proves that the 29,000 miles is genuine so why hasn't it got an engine number ??
  11. Mine is a 1970 too Hans but the number isn't there
  12. Hi Guys, As you may know I've bought a Mk1 Capri 1600 GT I'm having trouble locating the engine number. I've looked where I thought it should be, and where it was on my 1600E but I can't see anything. Its a 691M 6015BA Block so its an early type engine (So I'm lead to believe) but surely it should have an engine number Any Ideas where to look ???
  13. Its coming along nicely Nick
  14. I was thinkin of a 3.0S mk3 (with original fishnet recaro's) but they aint tax exempt
