This is the same one on mine which was converted by Craig a few years ago now and still running fine and I used the original cortina sender unit which I had to bend the float by trial and error but worth it as the guage reads perfectly.

one of the best MK4's I've seen for a long time this one. IMHO the best mk of the cortina family. :thumbup: In fact if I manage to sell my Mk3 I'd even be tempted to get rid of my capri to give this one a home.

Due to losing some of my storage I'm reluctantly having to sell my MK3 2000 GXL dark green met' fitted with sierra 205 injection complete with 5 speed box and also have converted the PAS system off the sierra, fuel tank converted with an internal swirl pot (by Craig off BSC)It has probably one of the cleanest black vinyl correct interiors including the cleanest door cards I've seen since the seventies.Small bits of surface rust here and there but she is nearly 40 years old (this april)So she is tax excempt and also taxed until october and MOT'd until 2013,insured with heretige for £68 fully comp with 3000mls limit, I would trust this car to drive anywhere in the country especially with the fuel injected pinto much more reliable and indeed more economical than the twin webbers.Thatcham alarm system installed good tyres all round fitted with rostyle wheels including the spare,all chrome work present including the wide windscreen chrome front and rear, theres no welding needed that I'm aware of but being 40 obviously she's had a fair bit in the past, 4 previous owners.Looking for £2500,if she doesn't sell I'll have to break her though obviously dont want to go down that road but with no storage its either the cortina or the capri and unfortunately for the tina its her thats got to go.Trying on here first before the bay.Anyone needing any more info/pics let me know and I'll email you details. I am sure I read previously that he has had the battery checked properly and they said it was fine. If the alternator is not working at full capacity it will no doubt be charging enough to keep everything going for now but once winter comes and lights and wipers etc are used more it may not keep up and as it is new I think it should be checked now, a NEW alternator shouldnt have brush wear. If you take the time to read my post correctly I said "as far as I'm aware the light usually indicates brush wear" but could also mean FAULTY brush pack and also never assume a new part to be fault free.
