Sorry to bring up an old thread but do you know the open and closed lengths of these capri shocks (centre of hole to where the washer seats.) Ta alan -

KRT, i think a smear of gasket sealer around the bearing carrier will sort out any seepage. Worked on mine OK

Well Ash isnt good at posting progress but it got completed and has done thousands of miles since completion in June.

Why do you want manual ??? You wont be able to put the power down and if it does grip you will be breaking the axle or prop. Stick an auto in it, keep the existing axle and blow the manual cars away :thumbup: stock 2V 351 cleveland, auto, original rear axle ran 12.3 in 1/4 mile and drove sweet. Made great tow car too

Nice set up Pete H, what rims are they on the corsair ?? The new tyres bettered my 0-60 by one second, now 3.96 Got to fit a stronger catch on the glove box lid to stop everything flying out on acceleration

Thanks Consul. The exterior and interior will be kept mostly original. I did want to keep all the exterior paint as well. but i got over ruled :thumbdown:

Rad and intercooler fit quite snug, and a cooling fan

Not my car, but in the family. Quite tidy to start with Sent to sandblasters who ruined the rear quarters and didnt touch the underseal. Put on split, scrape and sandblast clean Usual rust, wing tops and bulkhead, a bit on one outrigger and inner cill, bottom of n/s 'A'post and the back of both wings. over one headlight. boot spare wheel section and just a couple of minor bits.
