  6. Is it the mk4 type that has rubber along the whole edge of the boot lid with a cut out for the lock or the mk5 one that just drops down on the corners of the rear quarters?
  7. Well I reckon they were all built around the same time and then sat around until someone bought them, that's why the late Y and A reg cars had early GLS trim, i.e. Before they used Recaros as part of the S pack. My car is on a W reg but MR LIP which was the prototype and the first car built was registered as an X reg originally. I stand to be corrected but none of the GL or GLS cars had the Chelsea fabric
  8. just checked, they are Chelsea....sorry
  9. Wasn't there some on ebay recently?

  12. Excellent thread Jayne, It seemed so far away from being a complete car and then all of a sudden it all started coming together. Ive really enjoyed your thread and I think with your plans for future engine upgrades it will keep the thread going! Looking forward to seeing the car at the Cortina Day 2017!!

  17. Thanks tibbs, I did find that pic, but I can't find it anywhere! Ford don't show it in the exploded diagram and Haynes just say make a note of which way it was...!! I will try it both ways tomorrow and see which looks most like that...I was hoping someone would say which way it goes...!!
