:playball: Ordered them from a dutch old ford parts specialist (was still living in Holland at the time) , they're from Finland , they where about 100 pounds at the time. I have them fitted to all my cortina's (except the P100,different arches..) I did offer them on here at the time, but no serious interest then. Try to do a google search, think there's a german site selling them online, if not, I can check in Holland if u like..

Because of too many projects I've decided to sell the MK5 estate :( She's a 1982 crusader ghia estate 2L pinto, fitted with electronic ignition(pertronix), Ghia alloys with 2 new & 2 nearly new tyres ,new front exhaust pipe, new Lokari plastic arch liners (no more front end rust problems), rebuilt master cylinder (Bendix),new chrome rear bumper. She's been SORNed since end of 2009 , so no tax or MOT, she can de test driven if required (private track) She does need some attention to right rear wheel arch & rear valance (starting to bubble) Asking GBP400 , collection only, CAR LIVES NEAR OBAN ARGYLL ! Will be putting her on Ebay in a few day's. cheers, Marc

I can highly recommend Fostec, they did an excellent job rebuilding my axle ,verry friendly and helpful, even delivered my axle to the ferry terminal , after my car broke down on the way there..

Hi, pic 1 is same as rack I've fitted in my P100, late type cortina, with alloy housing, pic 2 looks like the rack I've just fitted in my Taunus (82), that would make it an earlier cortina rack with cast iron parts.. hope this helps.

Hi, just finished swapping my dead 2.3 for a fresh 2.8 engine, and converted to powersteering while I was at it ( TC3 Taunus didn't come with power steering as standard..) Problem I have is that there is a lot of assistance on left turns, and a lot less on right turns...there realy is a massive difference... I'm using a old type, cast iron housing, rack with a sierra xr4i pump . any ideas? Rack had been sitting in storage for years..there don't appear to be any leaks. Is there anyone still doing reconditioned corty racks??

Thanks M8, i'll contact them. Sorted! GBP110 +vat. :)

Just been quoted €500 + vat to make me a pair of 320 lbs springs... Any ideas /help /addresses would be appreciated...
-
Ok thanks, any idea's where to get them? The "heaviest duty " I could find are the 275lbs ones I have.

Hi, my P100 is fitted with a 2.9 EFI engine, Now I find the ride height way too low. I have fitted MK5 V6 275 lbs springs ,which made no difference... Springs have verry little travel left, allmost fully compressed...have now fitted rubber "spring assists" in the coil which helps a bit, but still not ideal.. Anyone know where to get stronger springs?? Would mk2 granada springs fit??

Alloy bodied power rack fittings

The larger one is the return , had the same problem.. had my hoses made up at the local Pirtec place, they couldn't supply the actual fitting, had to reuse some old ones I had.. -
I would leave that to the expert, rebuilt a V*****L Carlton rear axle once, that was nice and quiet for about 200 miles after the rebuild, and than self destructed, couldn't even take it apart cause the bearings had welded to the pinion :headscratch: Just had my Atlas done at Fostec in Cramlington (ratio change to 3.09), highly recommended, nice guy to deal with, saw some real nice axle's there ,with names I recocnised, Jimmy McRae being one...

I've got one thing in my favour. No engine mounts in the way. The engine is mounted by engine plates - one at the front bolted to the chassis rails, and one at the rear bolted to the bulkhead (just about the make the rear one). surely you'd be able to use a pair of "shorty"headers from the states??
