Very nice to be welcome back to all its been a chunk of years eh ! it all kicked off in a pub many moon ago but its all about you guys and all the efforts / input, its great to pop in and say hello. The MK 2 Lotus resto is finally finished , yes the back shelf and lining has been taken care , it will probaly only have 2 seats , you will see that the mods on the car will not allow back seats the way it was done on the linkages in the 70's by Safety Devices. I think the picture shows how the linkages were welded on and they were boxed on the car on the back seats to spin on a penny !

MISSING OR THEFT- MK 2 Lotus Need Help Please!
BSC Tubbs replied to BSC Tubbs's topic in Ford Cortina Discussion
Hi Everyone Thought I had provide soem more update for those who have been contacting me on the cars I apologise for not getting back sooner, I have not been ignoring anyones PM's or calls. I have been in deep thought in how I was going to cut the deal in getting UCR back in the form i wanted to so its lookign very likley that the girl will be coming home ! I am just fine tuning some topics to cover off so there are no loose ends, at this momnent in time I apologise to everyone if I am being a little withdrawn on the deal but as you can appreciate I want to see it happening and not put a thread and it all falsl apart again to I will be concentrating in getting this taken care of. To answer the question if the cars have gone the answer is yes and I am just in soem final stages to getting UCR home through this effort, remember the deadlne was Thursday night as advised and I had until Saturday and I have now sold the cars. All seems to goign to plan with thanks again to all nationwide and also an amicable end to the whole topic, I will owe it to everyone once its on the road to bring her down soemtime. There are some more issues relating to the whole aspect of luckyblack and also not the mention everyone who is still owed items/cars and money, I am sure that at some point he will take the continued advice of getting everyone sorted as things like these dont go away ! I expect there have been soem resolutions involving the Police thsi weekend but I beleive that some of us will need to go down this route having said that ! I must point out that I am having conversations with some people out there who have been reading the threads and have mentioned that lb may not have been the only one involved in all this, if this is true then the plot will thicken down the road only if everyone needs matters addressed and dealt with. I would be happy to eleviate more once I have more info but as I mentioned its only fair that we do keep some constraint still as I am still in lombo with my car although its been located you never know these things ! As for the respective banta yes I woudl agfree that at some pointg it has probaly brought out some frustrations amongst us and also a pointer ot two. I would be inclien to say that its been an emotional one but the thread and topic should open everyone's eyes as to where do we go from here ! Who do we trust and how can the cars be kept in worthy hands or be sold to worthy hands I dont think we will ever get round to managing this but at least we can be aware. I do beleive that the topic has opened many doors/ can of worms at soem point but also resolved an important part of out Cortina passion, I do not beleive for one minute that there wont be another luckyblack which will spring up at some point but I guess we should be able to stump it out. I will be getting some pictures os the girl and will post them at some point ! Have a good evening rgdstr -
MISSING OR THEFT- MK 2 Lotus Need Help Please!

Hi Chaps Thanks for all your feedback it is good to hear and also thanks for the offer of donations, I am in consideration mode. In my opinion UCR deserves to be back on the road she had never see a road since the 70's and a crying shame that I had to indure such a time. I will still remain cautious until I get all this sorted out but luckyblack is out of the picture as far as I am concerned cause I have dealt with him in a manner which he saw common sense, he should read this and realise that I have tried to have him resolve everyone's issues the offer to communicate to resolve but as I have said he is on his own. Once i can get things and logistics sorted with UCR I will advise you all but will obviously need to source if I get her back. rgds -
MISSING OR THEFT- MK 2 Lotus Need Help Please!
BSC Tubbs replied to BSC Tubbs's topic in Ford Cortina Discussion
Hi Everyone I would like to advise eveeyone that UCR 303H has been located and is in its condition, unfortunately changing hands over the period the engine / Gearbox plus the donnot engine has gone, it had its own new stainless steel exchaust (which ironically is on the series 1 MK 2 Lotus I have !!!) So its quite a sad day for me and I value the person who came forward which I will not name as I promised that I was happy for the call and knew the car was well. I am in dialogue with the person who I will make some decisions over the weekend as to what to do but overall happy that it has been put to bed and the person has advised me to the best of his knowledge. It is looking like a rolling shell and the effort to have it put back and costs involved is a weighing game, plus luckyblack is owing this person as anticipated, I know the 2 cars selling will cover it but as mentioned I will in dialouge to decide. So hopefully an ending I did nto wished for but the hunt is over yet one more hurdle to cross. Once thsi is all sorted I will keep everything under wraps as my committment to thye person who has been very supportive and owning up. He is not related to BSC but got the message from some of the threads. rgds -

BSC Tubbs replied to BSC Tubbs's topic in Ford Cortina Discussion
Chaps I have received a call from mr luckyblack today and unfortunate he will have run out of time and I have advised him of the agremement and conciqucneces as of 6pm today, so effectively whilst i will nto hold my breath its very likley the cars will be up for grabs at 6pm tonight anyone interested please PM after 6pm. I am now looking to contact a chap who had taken luckblack's cars to Billing mayeb a coupelof years ago for those who attended the show apparently may have seen luckyblack arriving with 2 cars on a pick up truck. I am now supposed receiving a call from the person who is having my car and eagerly waiting so we can have a chat as to the verification of my car V5/Police and DVLA reports which have come back to me. The person who transported these cars for luckyblack delivered UCR to the location that its at today apparently in Leicesterhsire !!! So anyone who can help me identify this person would be appreciated and I am lookign forward to speaking the person on my car. Over and out ! rgds -

First of all was this 2 Door E Aqua Jade ? Dee day today at 6 pm but I must poitn out that there has a PM to me from soemone whom I have been keen to talk to recently so I hav esent the person my number for a call in to me. I have also leant that the LCR were aware of UCR in around the time and the word which has been used was 'baught' !!! I am quite sure I have converse with certian site members abotu my car many years ago, also most recently prior to having this I had contacted then in renewing my membership with an added email advising about UCR 303H, I never got a response from them !!!! this was only 2 weeks ago might I add. Anyways the plot will certianly thicken as time goes one but at the same time I have been left a message by luckyblack this morning who will be callign me later today but I expect he wont ! Grab a bargain guys its the sale of the century after 6 pm tonight !!!! I an now on the hunt for a 2 Door Delux Estate Crayford, which I am sure someone out there is putting together with great intentions . !!! or a Lotus MK 2 Estate with a 5 link axel. rgds -

BSC Tubbs replied to BSC Tubbs's topic in Ford Cortina Discussion
First of all sorry for my spelling ! I type as I speak very fast !! so this should do it now , I understand the sharing the of information whole heartedly and CAB has taken that initative as I no longer have any use of being selfish for my car, I still have an agreement with luckblack until 6pm tomorrow and woudl like to honour it, it also means that I sell his cars which will never replace UCR but its better than a kick in the %^$%. I also agree that the editorial of BSC can probaly combat this happenng again if there a forum for key screened and knowledgable members, maybe a hand ful who are in the know not just everyone, so at least when some foul deals or suspect things come it can be communicated in thsi forum, may a key list of 10 or 20 members who would be able to chat and look at avoiding super heros who come to the scene with great cons, but its your call. So if its ok with you all 6pm tomorrow. I am getting a few sales enquiries I will contact each person later today, the cars will be open for veiwing after tomorrow. I will keep the location under wraps just in case there is another luckyblack being groomed out there !!! I thing tomorrow should be known as BSC Independance day !! rgds -

BSC Tubbs replied to BSC Tubbs's topic in Ford Cortina Discussion
I Must also add to my chapter and verse, to all 'GENUINE' MK 2 potential Lotus owners/buyers down the road, unless its already been done, take a very careful look at UCR it was a great shell and there are certian 'spot the obvious' markings on the motor all pictures are posted in my first thread. So now it will tarnish anyone selling a chpped up UCR, also the back axel which was very unique its welded in very unique places just in anyone out there is going to buy themselves a ringer or maybe even baught one !! I know eveyhting about this car so if the thief is selling it in any form then you should make sure you dont buy something which is not! I realised that not everyone is cautiosly prone to this and no doubt some of you will tell me this but I clearly mention above 'GENUINE' so please understand i am reffering to the tea leaf at the this stage not owners or potential buyers! rgds -
MISSING OR THEFT- MK 2 Lotus Need Help Please!
BSC Tubbs replied to BSC Tubbs's topic in Ford Cortina Discussion
Everyone very sorry for not getting back to all last night yes its a continuign saga but I suppose its one of those things eh ! well UCR did not arrive to me last night as anticipated by most I am sure, I woudl like to say that luckyblack's time pretty much run out on his kind offer fior the replanish of my car so first of all: 1600E - SHJ 60G MK 2 series 2 will be up for grabs after 6 pm tomorrow evening I have had 3 local veiwings and also 4 calls one from its previosu owner, I will keep my promise to any BSC member wishign to make me a resonable offer, we all knwo our cars so you wont be buying it for a song !!! Lotus MK 2 RPD 430E series 1 - will also be up for grabs after 6 pm tomorrow I have had 4 local offers but again BSC members can have a poke at it with a reasonable offer. Failing this I will either ebay them but I expect they will go to good home !! I will still be lookign for UCR and without prejudice to anyone here I donto want to upload anymore any more information on my hunt, i can say this that that mr luckyblack has furnished with soem very interesting information in the last 24 hours, so to speak he has now told me that there are soem people out there who have apparently doen a runner with a MK 3 Crayford - and Green 1600E and and another ! god knows but he is still adament UCR is still around and that the dealine should be honoured tomorrow. I have one advice for everyoen out there if you please, I have been in the scene for a very very long time met soem great people and the family atmpsphere this web site / people and shows hav ecreated has been next to none, the welcoming arms or people I have met sharing suaages / burgers and even a beer or two at camp sites have warmed th ecockles fo heart this Cortina culture had brought for many years. I am proud to have associated the cortina with my life as you all have and met most of the very nice people sharing some of the most unbeleivalble stories / passion / history of the cars and finding some very rare beauties I must add. My passion was to find rare bests only to enjoy and put them back on the road and all times the support eveyone shared was unmeasureable. Until a bunch of selfless/short sighted and money grabbing clowns were let in to our lives who have really broauhgt what we have built to disrepute, I must add maybe only a few of these low lives exixist but they hav eall played a role in damaging alot for the car and we hav ealways sttod ground on why peopel do this and luckyblack is a pillar of all F%^* ups and its probaly not just him. Its a real sorry sight to see how this situation has transpired and I guest there will be on eor two people readign this knowing they have been involved and are part and parcel of this. As members of a new breed and age come along its really tarnished this age as to how much can peoplel can get away with, you mention Law, ther is not law when it comes to these cars other then general theft and paperwork for the Police, you all forget the cars in the 60's and nto the cars in the 21st century, an average policemen today wasnt' even born when these car s were on the road, policemen who knew of them ar eeither retired ot moved on, so there is no law culture which protects us all. A comment made to me by a police officer ' most of us dont even know what a cortina looks like ! all we can do is for you to do the runnign aroud and guide us within the law' I knwo soem of you have goen dowen the legal route but still in limbo. Beware all restorers and would merchants who take cars for paint and build this will certianly damage yoru business unless you are reputed to everyone but the word caution will always linger - luckyblack was a restorer some con man and thief and it took all by surpise but he got us wheel barrelled. So my point to ponder - its time every good cultural cortina person shwo solidarity to the cars rathers than accept the fact that ther are people out there who just want to cut them up an dtea leaf them with excuses. Sour grapes for the show organisers as peopel with cars will turn up looking for stolen parts / cars and have a good old poke at new comers instead of enjoying the days to come. UCR I still out there as I am sure others but if everyone was to put thier thinking caps on then we could combat what is stolen and sold for fast cash or just stupidity, what wrong was soemthing so speacial to be enjoyed and on the road instead of greed ! I woudl been happy sellign it to someone if that was the case. So a lessson learnt by me I will continue to update everyone momentarily, sellign the cars tomorrow, there are some parties still involved in my carand if they get this message they should contact me, the matter and saga will continue until I get my car back regardless luckyblack and his acomplices I hold responsible ! I have now officially advised luckyblack that he is now on his own and that I trust he has responded to you all if not then I am sure you will all take the relevant actions to jog his memory. rgds -

MISSING OR THEFT- MK 2 Lotus Need Help Please!
BSC Tubbs replied to BSC Tubbs's topic in Ford Cortina Discussion
Everyone luckyblack today kept his promise on 2 calls but unfortunately the car was not delivered ! I was initially told it was in Cheshire / manchester and there it has remained which mr luckyblack has owned up to, I hav ebeen advised that he will picking th evehicle up tomorrow early morning to brign it to me by the end of play. I am keen to locate the person who is holding my car, the plot thickens as since last week it was posted that the car was in manchester I am only assuming the person is not in BSC or has been in somewhat in limbo with communicating with me direct and reasons behind the ownign up, I will also say this that last week a chap associated with lb wth a pick up truck who supposedly had my car on his truck but could not deliver also known in Langley yard !! mr luckyblack is shooting off to Manchester tomorrow to pick my car up to deliver to me but as time is now runnign out for luckyblack i will listing the series 1 lotus for sale along with the 1600E this Thursday. All documentation and agreements are intact. I have a few calls on them so this will then move to phase 3 after 6 pm Thursday night. I would be very keen to locate the person in manchester who has my car no details are known but it would avoid alot of hastle if this information was provided to me should mr luckyblack calls me to advise he i sbroken down on the M1 with my car on his back ! I would be very happy to pick up my car if in resonable doubt the person holding it is not involved in any way on the issue. I am giving th ebenefit of doubt that this is the case now that we have zeroed down to the location and a possible accamplice, I assume there reasons for this either moneys owed etc but the cause will overcome the need ! I hope that all who want to get thier bits/bob back have emailed luckyblack assuring his good faith at all times !!! Have a nice evening everyone more update on the hunt for my red october !! rgds
