Hi can you tell me if a mk2 cortina steering box will fit a mk1 if not what are the diffrences

I have the prototype Alachi kit fitted to my mk1 there is no mods needed to the inner wings, the kit bolts up to all the original bolt holes.The only mod needed is the compresion strut bracket which needs welding to the chassis.I have a pinto fitted with fan fitted to water pump original rad and no mods to bulkhead.I worked very closley with Alan to make sure this kit is easy to fit with the minimum amount of mods to car.I could proberly put my car back to standard in half a day

Hi here is more info on the car.In the last year it has had a stainless steel exhaust fitted at a cost of nearly 500 pounds,new track control arms,clutch and all suspension bushes.The car is completly standard ,you can still read the chassis number on the suspension top.The chrome work is all excellent.Sorry about quality of photos but it was rainning and he didnt want to get it wet.All most forgot trim is also standard and in good nick, if you need any more info please ring me 07932818908 Paul

Hi This belongs to a friend of mine and to be honest didnt think he would ever part with it.But he has said its time to part with his pride and joy so here it is a 1969/70 mk2 Cortina 1300 deluxe Blue with light blue trim showing 33000 on clock which he belives is correct, 3 local owners [car was supplied new by Days of Lowestoft]The car is in excellent condition,i think you will have to look hard to find another as good for sale.He is looking for £4000 ono for it not cheap but as i say a really nice car.Iwill add photoes as soon as i can and also find out more about the car. :headscratch:

Hi no cable wont fit as it screws into gearbox type9 is held in by surclip,cable is also to short.Old Ford do a replacment to fit Cortina speedo type 9 gearbox.Hope this helps
