  1. Hi alister, Yes I sorted my clutch problem out thanks. A chap from the 1600e owners club gave me a good tip.he told me to gently pull the clutch arm fork towards the slave cylinder. This pushes any air bubbles back up the pipe and back into the master slave cylinder. Because it's easier for trapped air to go upwards rather than downwards. I did this and I saw lots of tiny air bubbles entering the master cylinder and it's been ok since then. You just have to make sure your fluid in the master cylinder don't overflow drain a little bit out and keep an eye on the fluid levels. Hope your problems sorted out. Cheers mick.
  2. Thanks Sheffield cortina centre. I will check this out.
  3. Thanks Sheffield cortina centre. I will check this out.
  4. Thanks pete. I only changed the clutch, pressure plate and thrust bearing a couple of months ago. It was changing gears a smooth as anything until I changed the slave cylinder seals. I think the problem could be the thrust bearing not connecting correctly with the clutch fork? Could this happen. Sometimes it's ok and changes fine with no crunching. And then other times its hard to change gear and crunchers.
  5. Any ideas on my problem with my gear change on my 1600e. I didn't have any problems with the gear change until I changed the seals in my slave cylinder. Now it's crunching mainly when trying to select reverse gear.i have bleed the slave cylinder correctly so i don't think the problem is that. I was wondering if it could be the clutch fork as there seems to be a bit of play in it. Any ideas what could be causing the problem would be appreciated.
