He did say others who had sold mk 3's on e-bay had helped him, which makes me feel like i should too? But i think i'll remain cautious to be on the safe side. If who ever buys it wants to give the details then thats up to them isn't it? Cheers for the advice. :thumbup:

My mk 3 is on e-bay at the minute, and some guy by the name of "cortinaman63" has asked for the reg number, vin number, chasis number, original colour, engine size etc etc and says he is compiling a list of the surviving mk 3's Just wondered if it was any one from here, or if any of you have been asked this before, and should i give out this kind of info?? I do like a quirky motor, but The kids where i live would tip me over in a three wheeler!! At least alloys would be cheap though? :D

Thanks for putting the pics up for me, much appreciated! Only just noticed the date on the photos though, it's wrong, i took the pics on sunday, oops silly me!! Someone asked about the interior, it's all there, and in good condition, apart from speaker holes in the front door cards!!! (Wasn't me!) I'd be interested in swaps too?? A mini project would be my best bet i think?? But anything considered??? If no joy here, then E-bay it'll be???

Well i've thought it through, and i've decided the best thing to do is sell my mk 3. It's a complete car, and i dont think it needs anything doing some of you guys haven't done loads of times before? But for me it's too much to take on, and i'd rather see it go to someone with a better knowledge who's going to give it the new lease of life i think it deserves. I dont know what i want for it really, but if i get a good enough offer, i'll take it?? The car was running last year, but has been under a tarpaulin for a while, but i will get it fired up if anyone is interested? If anyone would like to have a look or anything just ask. Oh and the interior is stripped out, and i'll leave it like this if it makes it easier?? P.s.....how do i post pics??!!! is it easier to e-mail them? lol

I'm in need of a bit of therapy i think? I've got it into my head that i should maybe give up on my mark 3, and let it go to someone who will be able to give it a proper good re-vamp? I really love the look of the mark 3, it's a damn sexy car (is that weird?) And i said to my mate who i bought it from, that i would get it back on the road again, so i feel like i have to, even though i dont reckon he'd mind if i didn't? To be honest, some of you on here would think of mine as an easy resto probabbly, and although i'm not afaraid of a bit of graft, i think it's too much for me to take on? it's a complete car, and its even got the original reciept from 1974. Which is why i think it would be better off in the capable hands of a pro, rather then being bodged and gobbed up with a ton of filler by me lol That was my plan, to get it quick fixed, and use it for a couple of years, then sell it on here maybe? But i don't want do anything to it thats going to be a nightmare to put back? All kinds of ideas are floating around in my head, like swapping it for, an escort van, a mark one fiesta, an eightees escort....and even....a mini!!!....Is that aloud?? I was thinking a mini because it just seems like parts are easier to get hold of, and can be cheap??? I dont really need to buy much for the cortina to get it to my standards, but i would sooner see it done to a far better standard, and if it's someone on here, i could keep tabs on it and still see it? I just don't know what to do really??? Sorry for going on, but just need some advice?? :ninja:

Mine did have rectangular lights, but i got hold of the single round headlights and grille, so if i rebuild that area to look something like that pic, will my lights and grille fit okay? They seem to line up with whats there now. (which is mainly rust lol)

(did i post a happy birthday? must have done it by mistake? lol) am going to get set of fibreglas wings for now,only bolt on,sold set about 2 months ago next to nowt did not think be owning another dope, :rofl: :bday: That kind of thing would do me, do they do front valances?
