Mk3GXL 9 Posted April 14, 2006 (edited) I've bought Classic Ford on and off for the last 4 years or more but I'm not really into Modified cars. Just recently they do seem to be including at least one standard car per month which is good, that's how the cars were built so it's nice to see them left that way. What I'm really disappointed in Classic Ford is that the car I spent 3.5 years tracing original early GT parts for, including a good engine, has been gutted and is being turned into a high performance race car. It was an early 2 door pre cross flow GT and as such is quiet rare these days. It also had a good amount of history so deserved to stay largely intacted as it was instead of it's id being trashed and it into just another modded cortina. :unsure: It would have been nice if it have just been updated a bit with light mods such as electronic ign, polly bushed etc.... not totally gutted :ph34r: Steve, I'm still not happy about that paragraph and look forward to your next email :) Haven't seen Retro Ford yet. :D Edited April 14, 2006 by Mk3GXL Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

So Steve pack your bags and take along hard earned break ! I hear South Africa good at this time of year oh while your there how about digging up something on the XR6 ..I know just a thougth. Retro Ford .Jury still out for me.. Pescorts again ,I give it a few more issuses then decide ,mind you CF started off with a escort mexico so things can only get better. Reanimation 0 Posted April 19, 2006 Truth is i bought CF for a fair few years while i was doing my xr2, i got brain washed that RWD is where its at (which it is!), only saw a few a few fiestas in there at the time and i was long term after a mk1 granada. i then tried to find an escort rolling shell to put the xr bits on. escorts were silly popular and silly money long story short i'm loving sierra's now, they are a bit big but just as capable as an escort. I only buy any mag now if its got stuff in i'm interested in. i got issue 1 of RF, it was not bad, not a sierra in sight (LOL) but written by enthusiasts.
