BSC Tubbs 1 Posted August 24, 2004 Hi DML Interesting ! not a sausage I'm afraid ! a bronze series 1 in 2 door may have been a GT or a Lotus conversion. To my knowledge as far as I know there is only 3 2 doors which I have heard still about but not much trail to find them. I have heard there are 2 door Savages in: 1. Berkshire 2. Fife Scotland 3. Devon 4. Norwich I have seen 2 of them but the other two I haven't , two of our group has a Lotus and a GT 2 door spec. We also know of an Australian who exported a series 1, 2 door in the 70's. My Advice: 1. Contact Jeff Uren direct to verify the reg number and ask about the car. 2. Contact Rob Sargent who is still the registra and has most of the info on the cars. 3. Other options which all the members have offered thier help here. 4. You never know you might find someone here or a member having fond memories of the car or heard of it. Also seems that it may have a race spec with purpose stripes I will see what I can find out for you but contact numbers are available for the above gentle men if you wish and members here would have them as well. As for the MK I Lotus you need allot more info ie; reg number etc, the Lotus Cortina Register chaps are very helpful namely Scott Simpson/Andy Morell and Rikki Nork. You can find them in the Classic mags etc Welcome to BSC, you've got me thinkign now ! bsc tubbs
