I'm sure I read somewhere that if you are using a hammer and dolly you use the dolly behind the dent and the hammer on the same side as the dent was caused, if that makes sense.

It seems a bit back to front as you would expect to use the hammer behind the dent to knock it out , but i think you risk stretching the panel if you do it that way.

Need pics before any real advice can be offered, you need to paint a target on your car, its not as its a dull colour and cant be seen

Whats the technique/easiest way?

depends how big a dent/ easy access to back of dent etc.....if you can get behind it bash it out with a hammer. if you cant drill a few holes in and use a dent puller on it ....you will have to use filler on it, the less the better........

sorry to hear what happened tim.it dont sound too bad,ive read your other post.hammer,dolly.block of wood and may be a slide hammer.after bashing it around to get it straight try your lamp to see if it lines up ok,if not some more bashing around is needed.then once your happy a skim of filler or stopper into the dents, sand it of and then its ready for some primmer B) pity you didn't live near me cause im sure i could sort this out for you.post some pics up of the damage.
