Very nice Nelly, looking sweet. I had the same prob with my rear springs. Get a thin cutting disc on the angle grinder, it will fit between the spring and the mount. You can cut half the bolt then turn it and cut the other half. I worked for mine.

 

Thanks bangar .... Yeah had it done to me before and hacksawed between the spring and mount.. but remembered what a g1t it was .. so tried something this time ... i am hoping when I remove the spring from the axle its will twist out...

Been waiting for the weather to change so i can get out there and do some bodywork, so today I had that chance but still been in the shed with the engine and its all painted and nearly ready for the install.

Used the lip off the bonnet to repair the front edge of wing

Had to snap a hacksaw blade and clamp in the mole grips (and it worked)

Thanks Neil... and it only started with a 50pence size blister on the slam panel.. just shows you whats hiding under the rust on top

Yeah i bet u do... Hopefully I will only do the places that need a bit of welding, until then if I am happy with the engine and running gear then a major bodywork strip down.

 

The engine colour was a bit of a mistake, added to much white but after i had put it on the block didnt look to bad.
