My Lotus restoration is nearly finished

Recommended Posts

Hello,

My Lotus cortina restoration is finally over, I just need to paint the nos front grill and finish the interior and have the engine tuned. I have driven it all weekend for the first time in 2 and a half years. It makes the £10K cost worth it at long last.

I hope I have attached the pictures right, if not I will try again.

Cheers

Lee :)

Neil will help you out, it might be to do with not having enough postings completed.

Are we talking mk1 or mk2 Cortina?

Hi Niel,

It is a series 1 mk2 Lotus an original white/green. I just wish that I could get the photos on, I went through the help forum again, but I do not have a browse section when I place a new posting / topic and I can't attach using the buttons at the top of the posting near your fonts etc.

Thanks for that, it does make all the hard work worth it in the end. The only thing I need to do is have the front bumper re-chromed and the chrome bonnet edge trim, paint the NOS grill and tidy the interior a bit. I also had the area behind the grill painted black after it was painted white, I don't know if that is correct or not, but I prefer it. It does go really well though and it will be better once it's tuned.

Cheers

'Lee
